Wiring actually isnt that hard to understand

it seams daunting but most of it is actually pretty simple when you start to understand it just need a auto sparky to learn basics of most of it

I have never in my entire life ever personally seen a relay stuff up

and even if one does it’s a 20 minute job to pull the gaurd off

nearly all who hide wiring in a Holden 5L  put the ingition modual behind a gaurd and they stuff up daily so that’s a much worse idea really

personally I thinking keeping under the dash clean is a good idea

I will be able to get it much much faster, I was changing way early other wise it just wheel spin like other runs I have tryed, I did a run 2 weeks ago started just like this then hit 3rd and just lit it up at half track, couple other runs Its lit up in 1st and 2nd then it’s just a balls up as soon as you get back on it it just frys again

it looks like I’m driving it sooky here but it really is the only way to get it down the track with out having a complete stuff up of a run, I honestly think I could get it down quicker if I dropped 5psi boost but no way that’s happening

decent traction and few test runs to see what I can hold in 1st and 2nd and then I will be able to ring out 3rd 4th to 7000rpm with out having the hassle of loosing traction

just need to be careful as I know if I get to sticky of tread I will instantly fry this clutch then I’m up for $3000 and I don’t feel like that rightt now

Gave the manta a good hiding over the weekend, took it down palmyra for 4 passes, was on the half stuffed out 20 inch rims with a 30mm smear of rubber on them so it was never goin to be fast, realing of the slowest 2.5 60 foot time and 12.9 @118 is all I could do on these tyres, it was the biggest hand full to drive and most times I just got over excited and spun the wheels to half track  if I went anywhere near the throttle

as can see in vid changing at 4800rpm in 1st and couldn’t get it flat till 4th gear other wise I just started to loose traction

anyway was a bit of fun in it 100% street form

getting new 18s in 8 and 10 inch widths soon and will try some nitto nt05 and one day later after I have stuffed and replaced the clutch I will throw some radials on for a go

then today day took it on a cruise with 130+ cars that was a 120km round trip from my shed back to my shed, took out the second top trophy of best modified car with a Eleanor replica taking out best over all

all up did about 180km and chewed just over 90L of e85

Been hearing some bad stories about the Holley dominator twin pumps lately

they are failing in street use quite often and sometimes causing engines to go bang

just keep a close eye on it

aftermarket industries has just taking it of there shelves and compensating lots of customers with cost price systems to replace them and doin what ever he can to help them

I know right, was goin to paint it dull babyshit green but a flip of a coin come up with this shit colour

i fucked up and didn’t paint the lower part of rear end like the gts are done  think I will paint that part black to be honest

anyway ay the current colour I call matt grey, it’s the latest trend of half assed car wanna be fixer upper ers, usually done in a 2 tone style by the import clan splitting the colours at the body kit lines

I have nothing under my carpet in vs (weight reduction)

its fuckin hot on the feet, it’s noise as fuck as well, if you hit the floor with your heel it feels like your kicking a old land cruiser door

dont do what I have done lol

I do how ever have super plush carpet so it does feel nice and I would strongly recommend getting that lol

get some good 10-15mm underlay, even if you only put it under flat parts under where feet go

Iv just got sound deadened textured paint but it paints on under car, I painted as much of in Monaro in rust proofing and it has thick foam on bottom of factory carpet to make floor flat and not moulded carpets  like VN-vs are

Only chip on paint in my interia is on the drivers door lock as when I painted every thing it jammed up and chipped it trying to get it up again

all vents and inside door handles are perfect and never chipped or peeled at All and the door handles have a had a fer work out all the times Iv worked in car and had to reach from drivers side to passenger to open it due to battery isolator

sanding is the major trick though and lots and lots of wax and Greece remover

and remember I have no ac or even a fan for that matter and if you choose to paint them you must line them up straight as possible and that is where they stay for the rest of there life

That kombi will be hard as with the massive side walls on it

big solid sanding blocks about 600mm long and about 400 hours prep work if you want it nice and not wripple like so many are

If you have problems fitting them just cut them into individual pipes and use a slip on collector

So still goin flat out on this machine

so much work involved in painting a car

anyway got car primed then sanded that for a whole eternity then masked it up painted the door jams and as much around engine as I could so now the doors go back on tomorrow then final sand the whole lot and hopefully we have sourced a proper spray booth to paint it in

also so wrapped hood lining and heap of other bits in suede

Here is a couple where it can be seen

you want a spring like this, has to be high tensile as well and not affected by heat, can see it’s usually all up tight together and even though it does t look stretched much it is, if I connect this up higher so it’s level with fuel rail it struggles to pull it back

When your idle goes up just jump out and pull throttle back

if that fixes it then you have a bad Spring design, if not then it’s in tune or throttle posistion or something

I will post a pic of the spring I have on myn tomorrow, it’s nothing like the spring you have above
