Well it looks like you have opened it up quite a lot so if you can get primer sealer into every where it’s ok and makes sense
June 25, 2016 at 8:33 pm #17933In your vz ute ??
June 25, 2016 at 8:32 pm #17932So got bored of the Completly debadged thing and got my mate to make these up for me
also so measured up the off set today for new rims I’m getting very soon, oddly enough it measured up at 27p passenger side and 35p drivers side
little bit of bashing got the passenger side to 31p
might do a little more to see if I can get it to about 33p and with that I’m goin to jam nitto nt05 in 295/35/18 under it on the 10 inch wide rims on rear I’m getting for it
these come in a 26.1 inch rolling diameter witch also is a little on the large side for a VS but little bashing on the spare wheel well and they will fit
June 25, 2016 at 8:15 pm #17930Dam fuel pump started to play up so I got a walbro gss342 pump
that was great fun fitting it into factory basket
anyway it’s all done and back together
was a little bit tricky but luckily I pulled out my best wand and managed to get it done
June 25, 2016 at 8:01 pm #17929Holy hell Gary
that at is some serious work there
I dreaded pulling a perfectly good car apart to paint it but that is just hole different level
so once blasted then goin to dip it ?
June 22, 2016 at 10:35 pm #17917Could be a minor leak somewhere as well
June 22, 2016 at 10:33 pm #17916Yeah should hold pressure for at least a few minutes
think about 2psi every 30 seconds bleed off is about normal
myn Odle enough sometimes holds pressure for days, Iv looked at myn 3 days later and has 30psi still in it
i did immediately think rich when I seen the vid
could be 1 injector stuffed, Iv had that before on stock engine, just run a bit crappy and took them in for flow testing at a local parts dealer that had flow test thing there and seen 1 was stuck open when we hooked them up or like you say it could be reg or a number of things
make sure you change them filters in end of injectors if you had a heap of crap in filter
June 19, 2016 at 10:40 pm #178875-6 weeks more or 5-6 weeks from when you asked him to lock you in for one ??
June 19, 2016 at 8:36 pm #17881What’s the wait time on harness ??
Myn was about 7 months
June 17, 2016 at 11:13 pm #17850fix it ??
don’t worrie about that just dodge it up to work for 20 mins at a time
if he has a good battery charger and fits electric water pump he should be able to completely remove that belt and drive for 20 mins at a time not a problem before he runs out of electricity
June 17, 2016 at 6:30 pm #17831Yeah can see blower is seperate and that remains as is
but what happens when you remove power steering pump and A/C ??
So once power steering is gone the belt needs to go from water pump to alternater
looks like there is a pullie in the way for that to happen
June 17, 2016 at 5:33 pm #17829Yeah to you
so obviously that’s not your LSA but they are all the same
So your ditching AC so belt can go straight from crank to tensioner up to the left of blower pullie
then to water pump but after that looks like bit of a problem area as you have no steering pump
can you swap that smooth pullie between crank and alt for ribbed pullie
that way belt goes crank -tensioner – water pump – over that pullie close to water pump – alternator and straight to crank ???
June 16, 2016 at 8:41 pm #17809Will that belt set up work with just water pump and alternator ???
Or do you have to get some pullies and fix them in places to to get it to work ??
June 12, 2016 at 1:22 pm #177561- car on stands or much more preferably a hoist
2- undo 2 steering rack bolts and steering arm bolt and just pull it back and down 100mm
3- not possitive on passenger side but may need to remove starter motor or may not but that side goes in and out easily
4- drivers side stick the factory car jack between K frame and under where engine mount bolts on to block and take the weight
5- undo bolt holding engine mount to K frame and jack up about 40mm
6- drivers side is then easily removed and refitted

June 11, 2016 at 11:08 am #17738Personally I would take it in now and get extractors fitted and mended to exhaust so it’s drive in and drive out
other wise when you change motor and do it then when the extractors have different fitting to exhaust then you will be putting on trailer and fucking around doin that to get it to a exhaust shop
to me paying $200 to get extractors fitted and done now so when you change motor it’s all direct bolt up trumps doin the whole trailer shit and getting to exhaust shop like that
June 10, 2016 at 7:09 pm #17719Thanks every one
Yep really happy with how it has turned out, now I can just slowly do things things up over time to make it what I want it to be
June 9, 2016 at 9:13 pm #17688So took the Monaro for a drive this afternoon to leppys place
30 mins later we had the OTR in then hooked up my efi live and he has done a heap of ls1 so just been a OTR and exhaust extractor set up its pretty basic
pulled up his ls1 tune checked the injector scaling, speed sensors and few other things where correct and showed me the differences in fuel VE tables and spark maps from factory to mafless tune, set thermos on kick in and turn off 5 degrees cooler then factory and then slapped it in and went for a drive and straight up its bang on perfect, says mid-low 8L to 100km we know it’s goin to have between 235-240 rwkw and drives starts runs exactly like stock
June 7, 2016 at 9:57 pm #17652Wheel suit this car much better then they did on the manta
all up im pretty happy with the out come
June 7, 2016 at 3:51 pm #17633Its a pic of phone but file is to large
