on the fuel economy thing I can gauntee a worked holden engine is absolutely fucked and on that principle alone If I was building a engine now it would be LS every day of the week
not ot only is a Holden 3 times more expensive to get decent power they are then 2 times more expensive to run once you are done
July 11, 2016 at 9:54 pm #18365That’s my thoughts to cava
iv had my hand under my bypass valve and giving it a hard sharp rev and doin only sees A couple psi and bearly makes a noise when doin that compared to when driving and it actually builds up boost in the pipes
the old v2 blower use to do big woooosh should, now with v7 it’s more a sharp hard crack noise like a whip noise
i can can tell you that is a lot of air that comes out, so much it’s had me concerned if it would blow my plastic radiator shroud Into the radiator one day
infact its so much I have actually wondered if it would physically be able to travel down a 2 inch pipe of any distance like 600mm to the intake or 2 metres to the exhaust with out having back pressure issues
grp A ute please let me know how it does go and if it gets any flutter noises at all as I’m very interested to know, never seen them actually plumbed back in but have heard it is a legal requirement
July 11, 2016 at 8:39 pm #18362Are yep
iv wondered if it creates pressure flutter when it goes of when plumbed into air filter
a massive amount of air comes out at high rpm
i actually thought its ment to be plumbed into exhaust system but not sure that’s just what I thought
July 11, 2016 at 7:44 pm #18359What’s with second pipe off that ??
July 11, 2016 at 2:45 pm #18346Yeah i thought about that
<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”> </span>
<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>Personally i think the restrictive part would be the filter its self </span>
My plan is to make a bit of a funnel so it scoops a lot of air into them side parts
I wouldnt make a full air box down in there especially using the inside of bumpa as a side of it
Doin 250km/h backing off i think it would probley blow that side of front end off its mounts
July 10, 2016 at 8:32 pm #18331Yeah I just bodgied this up out of fibre glass
I just st made it out of cardboard and sticky tape then glassed over it
about 2 hours later glass was strong enough to hold its shape but allowed me to remove cardboard then I had a skeleton out of fibreglass to work from, had to cut a big chunk out of side as I have pipe work there
also wacked a bolt through it all to hold air filter in place so it has 20-25mm clearance the whole way around it</p>

July 3, 2016 at 6:48 pm #18103Chucked the Monaro on the rollers just to see what it’s making
242.7 rwkw
not bud for a stock LS1 engine with exhaust extractors and OTR
June 28, 2016 at 9:01 am #17999What tyres did you put on it ??
Thats insanely expensive man
For about $500 more then the cost of these wheels i got adjustable coil overs, 356mm brakes all round with 8 and 4 piston callipers and my new semi forged wheels with 10 inch rears
June 27, 2016 at 10:00 pm #17994Ar yep just had a look at the alloy bits holding rails in place
stuff changing that
but definetly change injector plugs over, them adapters are not known for there reliability
June 27, 2016 at 9:16 pm #17989Expensive rims there, they look good
by the look of front and rear are they all 8.5 ??
June 27, 2016 at 6:42 pm #17976Sean though you built this car with not much left unmodifyed on it
why dont you take them adapters and throw them in the bin
then set set up the fuel rails to sit lower onto the 3/4 length injectors ??
Or you you can just keep going and anodise them and I will just be quite
June 26, 2016 at 5:41 pm #17959Either of them
irs7 say they come in 18 but don’t have details if they come in 10 inch or not so finding out as I kinda like them
if anyone knows other films that come in either 8 or 8.5 inch for front and 10 inch rear and must be 18inchs and must be big brake compatable

June 26, 2016 at 5:38 pm #17957June 26, 2016 at 2:19 pm #17954Was only able to get about 73 L with dual exhaust
myn goes all the way up to chassis rail at back of diff and all the way to back rail
to to remove harrop diff cover would be either a diff removal or tank removal
tank removal in myn is very easy
June 26, 2016 at 2:17 pm #17953That’s good price Gary
honestly thought that that would of been more like $3k for yours
don’t worrie about thread hack
if I had it my way I would of just hacked my manta build with this one lol
June 26, 2016 at 1:42 pm #17951My tank cost me $000 and $200 or so for walbro 460 pump
its all about who you know
serge tank was $1200
June 26, 2016 at 12:09 pm #17945Poor thing is sitting waiting for new shoes so haven’t driven it for few weeks now

yeah back one is just scaled down to the height and length is what ever it worked out to be
June 26, 2016 at 9:40 am #17938Easy as
