Yeah to run one in the middle your car would have to be very high ride height or start chopping some steel and foam out of your rear seat and box it up a bit
Iv got 2 3 inch varex muffler on the rear iv got pics on my thread witch is couple done the list in the vs manta build
March 20, 2015 at 12:26 pm #3115Fitting one in the mid muffler will be a tight fit
They are not small exspecially if it’s a 3 inch or twin 3 inch
In got twin 3 inchs varex mufflers on the rear and yes they don’t sound as good as the manga flow mufflers I had before but they do shut it up a lot
March 20, 2015 at 11:46 am #3111They should come complete ready to bolt in
But if your running adjustable top plate you need to remove the top bearing plate on the strut
This is fearly straight foward, just undo the locking rings for bottom of spring and undo them so the spring is free and has movement
Then undo the top nut and the whole top bearing will come of in a heap of pieces and then just slip it Into your new top plate and wait till it’s all installed before tightening up the rings on bottom of springs and top plate
March 20, 2015 at 12:27 am #3090Hi mate
Car is goin good now, after my rear axel miss hap but honestly I think it will happen again but I like a breakable link other wise it will shatter my gear box and axels are so much easier to replace
It’s making insane power and torque, it’s about to under go a new type of tune, currently is tuned with tuner pro but is getting changed will probley leave it till it’s all finished to show them results.
But it’s making 430 rwkw with more left in it and water meth to turn on yet and that on 98
The hours iv put into it are insane
Think I’ll change the leather inserts on door trims as that wasn’t thought out very well but apart from that the car really is just sitting and been used every now and then
Roll cage in order one day and tidy up so me loose ends but it really does look complete now in my eyes as far as building goes
I don’t have my build threads on others forums any more just here and my own fb page witch iv added a few car mates onto
How is your mental manta goin ??
March 20, 2015 at 12:13 am #3089That awesome
I seen a white adventador drive past the front of the crown (on spencer st is it)on about Monday or Tuesday
Was breath taking looking machine
If i planed it better I would do a full day getting to drive a few, I seen a full day with 6 supercars but don’t think there was a track involved
At the end of the day you only live once and chances of owning something like these isn’t great yet along a whole different bunch of them over your life time so really unless your a billion air this is the only way to experience a whole bunch of them
Did you notice a noticable difference between say a 911 compared to a gt2 or rs or gt3 depending on witch you got to drive ??
Like did you notice $100K difference or just a little better in every way ?
March 18, 2015 at 10:06 pm #3023It’s actually called
driven
born from joe gibbs racingMarch 18, 2015 at 10:05 pm #3022Just google joe gibbs
Every where in the states and also you tube
March 18, 2015 at 9:43 pm #3019Most oils are pretty average, well there good but not great as they make them comply with emissions and stuff
Drag racing teams realise this and make there own oils
Watch some joe gibbs things on you tube as they have great segments explaining what to use, as what one recommends in QLD where it’s constently above 10 or so degrees might not be so great in SA in winter in -5 degrees
Problem with these oils are they don’t last a long time not like 5000km anyway but I don’t see Gary leaving his oil much over 1000km
Joe gibbs
Brad penn
LucasJoe gibbs makes a oil for the LS engines and is LS30 also read lots of guys using BR30 in there LS engines
Me I use nothing but joe gibbs or if I carnt get it second choice brad penn
Pavtek sell Goe gibbs oils
March 18, 2015 at 9:26 pm #3015Can you hear coming from a side or is it apear to be ever where with out been able to pin point it
March 18, 2015 at 9:25 pm #3013Iv seen a loose rocker do weird things before
Check before discounting it
Along with any other suggestions that is a simple check procedure
Things arnt alway like they seam, I know it seams like it should make noise all the time but myth busters have been majorly supprised before as well
March 18, 2015 at 8:09 pm #3002Check a rocker hasn’t come loose
March 18, 2015 at 2:21 pm #2974Awesome stuff
Big thumbs up to that
March 16, 2015 at 9:46 pm #2813Nice, and I take it they bolt straight onto a vt-vz
March 16, 2015 at 8:24 pm #2798Looks good
Iv never seen of these with boost, I’m waiting for the day some one pops up with a boosted vp GTS
March 16, 2015 at 5:34 pm #2788Yeah aftermarket industries do the best serge tanks ever
The quality is second to none
But also think moving fuel lines further away from gear box and bell housing and wrapping them in heat wrap has helped and also all the Hpc coating has reduced heat, every thing all adds up for a better round system
March 16, 2015 at 5:13 pm #2786Very nice
March 16, 2015 at 5:09 pm #2781Carnt want to be beside this at a brissvagas power cruise
March 16, 2015 at 5:05 pm #2778Yes fuel is all sorted
Goes like a rocket but still behaves like a retard down low rpm
Fuel system is silent and can not even hear it prime up, can only tell because I can hear fuel squishing through regulator
Doin some road tuning first as I have a new tuner now and wants to get it driving nice, then dyno for some power runs then find some quite roads to fine tune anything that needs touching up in 1st, 2nd And 3rd under power
Iv got my 2 boost limiter valves fitted now witch vent anything above 15psi and also think I’m goin to run water meth constently from what ever psi it is at 4000rpm and progressive till 6000rpm at witch point it will run full till 6800 top limit so I can drive and mostly not use it only under hard throttle will it come on
March 16, 2015 at 4:55 pm #2775Oo and all the screws used on door trims I just cleaned with a nylon brush like a wire wheel thing that is used in a drill and then painted them as well
March 16, 2015 at 4:52 pm #2774Can see in this pic every piece around the windows on the out side have all coped this treatment and now has a extremely clean look
All painted in jet black gloss 2k paint
Some may say it won’t stick blah blah blah but I’m over 2 years in and every piece is exactly like it was when I painted it and looks 100% better and looks even better then factory in my oppion as it’s not dull, gives a shiny show car look
