Yep IRS with fe2 springs and bump and rebound adjustable rear shocks

It makes 515rwhp on e85 at 8000rpm then has nosMarch 30, 2015 at 5:05 pm #3614Not myn but 2 of the toughest commodores in NTH QLD at palmyra

Just wish the torque power blocks where a little cheaper
March 30, 2015 at 10:54 am #3583Sorry for hijacking your thread, you should get it back tomorrow sometime
Definetly comes down to the $$$ you need for parts to have the combo to start with and then it comes down to the knowledge and driver been able to set it up and make it do these fast times
Carnt believe the fastest holden was on a poo comp crank and shit-a-nesse turbos
Don’t know if I would be game to spool it up
March 29, 2015 at 11:07 pm #3568Well I know this is going to be very very controversial, but to me the trouble is the 5L is very old technology. I mean yes I know you can get them to go, but they just are never going to have the reliability or ultimate power output of later engines. Now if you don’t mind I think I might go and put on my asbestos suit while I wait for the flame session to start
Dam straight you better have that suit on lol
Just joking I do know exactly what your saying howeverTry and tell that to these two commodores both running holden strokers, I watched both these cars do these times last night at palmyra
TUF356 VR 9.9 @141 355 with 100 hp nos
10.2 @130 no nos^^ registered and drives on the street regularly
HPGOD VK 8.9@ 149mph 383 with nos
Neither have boost
To compare we have in the LS corner
Ittwgn 8.9 @159 mph with a 402 I think with 30 psi and 1200+rwhp
Making power in a LS engine is fool proof, all you need is a cheque book
Making power in a holden you need a cheque book and knowledgeBut goin fast carnt be brought you need knowledge for that shit, and it shows in so many cars exspecially in the LS screen
I will how ever strongly agree if you want a 11 second commodore as cheap and as easily as possible a LS engine in a 3rd or 4th gen commy is the go

March 27, 2015 at 12:22 am #3414As far as I know there about as good as you will get and done max of 2000km probley more like 1000km
Carnt remember how long Into my run In of motor before I got throw away the top gun leads and got these MSD
Red In Colour is the reason I changed them as it looked odd on my black chrome and blue engine bay and I didn’t even know they made them in black till I seen it somewhere
I know have exact same in black
MSD 8.5mm superconductor leads
Coil lead has a spare plug and also has spare lead so can make a new coil lead long As you want or shorten the existing one witch is about 300mm or soLeads are made to a length so all dizzy cap ends point away from each other and are not all tangled through each other like factory
Anything else you want to know ??
Still in there box with a assortment of spare ends and the crimping tool they come with
Make a offer

March 26, 2015 at 11:40 pm #3412Yeah each has there own oppion
Rear lights are nearly the easiest part to change on a vr-vs anyway so doesn’t matter what you use
The car over all is looking good
Yeah myns a little mental, good fun though lol

March 26, 2015 at 10:38 pm #3408It’s ok
I’m only joking, cava nailed me for ages when I had altenza tail lights, took me a good year till I come around but eventually I put a factory set back in and now I will admit factory is better
Altenza front lights and clear side indicators are good but the rears do look tacky in my oppion
March 26, 2015 at 10:05 pm #3406Gary won’t ban you
March 26, 2015 at 5:33 pm #3399So are they altenza lights that have been tinted or painted ?
Or are they altenza lights that are black looking ??
They look like they wouldn’t let any light through at all
p.s carnt wait till cava sees this
I just know a few people who have been fined for black painted and black covers over there lights
March 25, 2015 at 9:49 pm #3392This time frame between updates is clearly unexcaptable
March 25, 2015 at 9:03 pm #3388Is that black painted tail lights ??
If so no deffinetly no
First fines followed by defect and more fines plus people can bearly see you blinkers in day time
