Yes thats exactly it, can save orgional tune and work on it and if i fail go back and start again
Its not like i will be making massive adjustments, i will only be doin little fine tweaks to make things better
Im not building a tune from scratch, i will leave that part for a pro at first
And yes i know it will takena large chunk of my life but thats half the fun

It just carnt be that hard, sure to be a professional tuner and get it right in a resonasble time frame but on your own car you have all the time in the world and i have warnings from wide band and egt for fail safe so its something worth doin for me
Iv been seeing people how they do tuning on there own cars and it really isnt that hard
When considering can buy efi live for under $1000 it will save money just in the instance of a diff gear change and wanting to correct speedo
Or if i want to change where water meth kicks in i can clean up the afr or if i decide to throw 100hp of nos i can pull 4 degrees of timing out at the push of a button
And could do a second tune for e85 when i get a bit more experience
Or say i get a shit batch of fuel i could pull a few degrees just like that
Ever since i got the wide band/egt data logging system it was always the plan to one day learn and that day is near
April 23, 2015 at 9:53 am #5390I put on some Ksport 8 piston fronts with 356mm 2 piece 32mm rotors and 4 piston rear with the same 356mm 2 piece 32mm rotors
I hot some yellow stuff pads since
I then put a VT master on and bam big ass brakes that just bolted straight on for under 4grand

iv got a sp1200 with 2 walbro 460 pumps and I carnt explane how good it is, puts all competition to shame
iv had several fuel systems, and all but 1 have all had one major thing in common
they are hideously loud
my current sp1200 fuel system is near silent, I know my fuel pumps have primed because I can hear it squishing through the regulator

I’ll get my tuner to use my efi live with my credits for sure
I really don’t think I’ll be using a factory LS style OS of any sort (operating system, correct me if I’m wrong)
not using a LS ecu to run a 5L based engine
it uses 2 by LS style O2 senosor, but does not use a relocter wheel, some how it gets it’s cam location of the Hall effect sensor, all other sensors are holden 5L type
it does not run sequential injection and does not run 8 coils, ingition runs from ecu to a Bosch igniter (that replaces ingition modual) and that converts the ecu possitive trigger to a high voltage negative trigger witch I can run my MSD 6al ingition then coil and dizzy like holden does

so if I got it tuned and a shop uses say LS edit or HPTuners, I can still use, axcess, data log and fine tune all the features using efi live correct ??
Or or am I much better of getting a tuner that uses efi live (witch won’t be a problem as so many use it)

Might get at least 3 vin numbers and do my research, join the forum and try playing around on a ls1 first to learn a bit

It had a come of the shelf chip didn’t it
A custom tune should of yielded a decent gain over the come single throttle body of the shelf tune
I’m not convinced you found your problem yet
Not saying it should definetly have 390rwhp but something doesn’t seam to add up
Did you ever do the comp and leak down test ??
Did you replace leads and spark plugs and stuff ??

Does it feel any better ?? Does it drive as nice and at what rpm is peak power ??

And the once it’s set up can do wonders is the part I’m after
I like the sound of that logger
I would see how my dat logger goes as it has wide band and EGT on it’s data along with all info from obd2 and can pick it’s parts to fix form that,
I see more and more people doin home tuning so it carnt be to hard to learn if one is keen to do so and has some brains between the ears

Yes agreed, I don’t want any VS battle either
But from my reading I agree, efi live seams to be the one that is advised to use
I’m not really after advice on witch one to choose, to be honest I’m all ready pretty sold on efi live
I’m more after advise and links on how to use it

I have a extra piece that sits on top of cradle and helps bind it up

I actually have a piece that when that is pressed Into the cradle It goes on top that is about 10mm thick to help really bind it up tight
Doesnt that press Into the cradle from top ??
