Build is coming along really well

I read back there you don’t have indicators ??

Not sure what you have done/changed and played with for that regarding the hazard light switch but I know with the a/c , hazard and rear demister switches near the middle/top air vents the hazards plug is same as one of the others 2 and if this is reversed the indicators will not work

I have been stung with this and was the reason my indicators didnt work once before

took me a while to finger it out

Cheers Gary, nerve racking times but so happy after it all starts to run nicely

Got some vids and pics on my FB page

I can not load the vids on here as I didn’t take them, my tuner took them and them and I just shared it to my self from his page

    today was farkin awesome :yahoo:

I got up and and my tuner leppy called me and asked what I was doin, I said drilling 2 holes in my throttle blades so this idles on 0% throttle , his reply was good cause I’m 20mins away

We fired the old girl up with 2 by 1.5mm holes and still wanted to stall so drilled them out to 2.5mm and 0.4% throttle had it ideling beautiful at full temp

After that we said well it’s time

So up the drive way we went, and scrap the pipes as I left the drive way, oops, better raise it later I think lol

as I went through 1st and second with absolutely no tuning besides been in the drive way it was amazing to drive, it was smooth, no serging and just putted around the corner in 1800rpm in 2nd

This is something this car has never ever been able to do

After about 2-3 hours of doin some drives then pulling up looking at logs and modifying tune it was just awesome, my mum could drive it, we crept onto boost a few times with very little timing in boost Tables but gave us a idea of how it’s behaving and its transition point as it goes over 100kpa MAP from main VE table to boost VE table

The car is finally pleasurable to drive, it’s happy, it loved the drive today and it’s never loved anything besides 50% to WOT before today

I can happily Cruze in 1st or any gear at 1600rpm with a 252-260 solid roller cam and 1000cc injectors

still needs a bit more on hot starts but was starting with no throttle at 85 degree at the end witch is pretty good considering we only did a hand full of changes to fuel and spark on cranking to achieve that

Trying to hire the dyno next Friday or Saturday for a few hours to do some WOT runs then it’s back to the street tuning again

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Good stuff Gary. Most know the frustrations of slow progress. Enjoy it.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>

I was getting my post come up in egyption hieroglyphics like your post above as well

For me it was that I was logged in my Apple iPad and Samsung phone at the same time, for some reason I can not finger out these 2 company’s hate each other and like to make each other’s life hard

It could be that you are logged in on any device like a laptop and using another device it will come up completely jumbled and if you try and edit it then it becomes twice as bad

I had to delete the link on both devices and resave them and do not tick the remember the pass word box and only log in one 1 at a time

    If that doesn’t work

    Cheers for the fix up

no real plan with EGT in each cyilendars , ECU can not read all, my Efi live can read 2 cyilenders and put that with data on lap top

i needed at least 2 as I have 1 now and second will be soon when I get second part to create dual wide band instead of single wide band like I have now with my zietronix set up, them same K type sensors can be wired to the EFI live if I want to

It was more of a why not put 1 in ever cyilendar over a why would I put 1 in every cyilendar

I just can not see a reason why not to, that way if I ever have any issues or doubts when I have 2 egt it’s a matter of 4 drives and 1 minute on each sensor change to see if 1 cyilendar is running hotter then the other (leaner) or colder

also so when drag racing I can see if there is a difference between say cyilendar 1 and 7

Got it fired up last weekend and this weekend, It’s running a new harness and PCM now so it’s only got a base tune we made up to start it and make sure I don’t have any problems before we start road tuning next weekend

honestly I think it’s a bit quiter at idle then the old pacemaker 5002

sound wise I Can not really tell any difference

do t think I will notice any difference because last time I drove this I eased the power on at 90km/h in 3rd and by the time I got to about 85% throttle and 5000rpm it just lost all traction and left 2 black marks on the road

now im on e85 and about to turn on the water with injection I don’t think it’s goin to get any better

Cheers Gary, it was a huge job, and a massive step above making a exhaust, exhaust systems is now a simply job to me compared to extractors lol

haven’t posted much for a while, but it’s all together, wiring is all done, I run a 3 pin igniter, that takes the positive spark trigger and converts it to a negative trigger witch I can run my existing MSD system from

Iv got efi live and a lap top now, Iv found a kick ass 5l tuner witch is actually the guy my orgional tuner called in to help get my car goin back when I first got it goin

So we got a base tune and fired it up, it was good and I’m learning so much on how tuning works, my cheap oil pressure gauge has shat it’s self so we decided to stop there, Iv got a mechanical autometre gauge now witch I have to install now my hoist is working again

My stupid hoist rams blow out there seals and cost me $600 to rebuild them after one spat oil all over my shed floor

and also e85 just become available last week in my area so tank will be getting drained

so bit of road tuning first up and get it driving nicely, then on the dyno for some WOT runs then back to the road and track for final check over

also after smashing cv cages in under 1000km I now have billet axels and 2 piece billet axel stubs from diff techniques

That is a good point there pirate

I didn’t give it to much thought on that princable

I’m just trying to keep under bonnet temps down as much as possible so that was the only reason I went with both inside and out
