There’s always a chance of any electric part doin funky things at any time

it is a good back up though, think I will fit one for sure

This is why Im asking is it even possible to pass the test with out having a lean engine that will eventually destroy its self or be completely gutless ??

Other wise theybwould just simply do it the right way

and if this is the case other car company’s will surely be doin Similar

I think the emissions testing in America must surely be in on it, it’s just to simple and stupid to not pick up on it

So I don’t under stand why would they spend millions to make highly illegal cars ?

are they actually capable of meeting the emissions requirements been asked to meet ?

If vw group have done it to pass the test how many others also have done something to cheat the test ??

How could someone not see this in the software ?

Surely someone has put a exhaust on one of the 11 million cars and tuned it up

how did a tuner not see there was something up when it was on the rollers compared to on the streets

how stupid is the authority’s for not doing road test to start with and only testing in a office on set of rollers ?

Surley this simple test would of showed it up massively straight away

    yep exactly Gary

if you got some one who knows what they are doin and can make anything work, you can make programs or operating systems to make stuff work the way you want it to

progressive nos, multi step rpm limiters, dual injectors, all sorts of stuff can be done quite easily

even though it’s not run of the mill making a trigger point out of injector pulse (or VE table in the tune) it can be done and to the right person quite easily

that  would be a awesome way to do it as its load detected so the pump doesn’t go flat out while goin back gears as a rpm switch would

    I’m not sure

I know with the older holden delco ECU it can be done by the power economy button and kalmaker do provide for lots of stuff such as water meth activation, pretty sure you can tune in 2 different tunes using the power economy some how so one with normal timing and one with certain timing pulled out

I would imagine there would have to be a way of doin it as lots of LS powered cars have NOS

i have EFI live so I would just go in and select every thing above a certain rpm like 3500 as I know when I change gears I’m still above that or if you have a auto just take it from just above the converters rpm and just take out the desired timing for HP of nos, as above its 4 degrees for 100hp and 6 for 150hp (not sure above this HP though) but it all comes on the sheet when you buy a kit

best of talking to a tuner about that as different tuning programs can be set up different so it’s not just 1 way of doin it and that will work with efi live, HP tuners and ls1 edit

each program may or may not require a different wiring pin to ECU  for some sort of activation switch to know to pull timing out

They look like a good idea

would just need to put a injector above it and test the injector to make sure it doesn’t spray all the fuel on the internal walls of it

That manifold just isn’t complete till it has a direct injection system on it

hopefully can do direct injection wet kits as that would make it easy with next to no tuning needed

just need to pull out 6 or so degrees timing with 150hp or 4 degrees with 100hp

dont just hit nos or it might ping with what ever timing it’s running now

    Both from diff techniques

    2 piece stubs

axels they say are unbreakable but I say anything is breakable

Yeah definetly flogging g a dead horse with the 4l60e box

glide with 150hp wet nos and some radial and this will be sweet as

stuff it tune it on MS109 or roo16 fuel as well

I’m keen to see the pipes fitted, they look good in pics above

Not sure if every one on here knows but I got sick of breaking cv shafts so I got Roberts billet axel stubs and billet shafts from his VR drag car

stubs bs have been running 9s for a year or so with 1.4s 60 foot times and axels only did 2 runs before he got the VL with live 9 inch rear end

so now it’s just the tail shaft that’s the week spot but they handle some serious punishment so I’m happy to hold it on 4000- 5000rpm now and drop the clutch with decent tyres on

Gary go into my profile and see if the (following) box is ticked, it will be near friends box

Hope there isn’t any fusing my disc together    that sounds pretty sucky

132mph was just a random number I picked out of thin air

if if I changed rear springs, rear brakes to accomodate 15inch rims with 275 radials and a 3800rpm stall and t400 I wreckin I would get into the 9s as is on the tune now yet along when we ramp 17  or so degrees timing Into it from the 11 degrees it is now

took robbey for a spin while he was here on the weekend Gary and he was mighty impressed with how it goes

my first plan is some smooth runs to see what mph I can get right now, 20 inch rims, full interim and 11 degrees timing

then it’s back to dyno with some 18 inch rims and ramp it up to 17 degrees and head out to streets to make sure it still drives smooth

then em try do some full blowen runs and see what I can get again in a full trim, coil overs but with 18s and radials

Back when I did a run with old v2 blower and 8psi I maxed out 4th gear at just on 200km/h just before end of track

lights and times where not working that night

I’m confident I will get a high 10 in manual eventually

Think I will be hard pressed getting 11.9 on street tyres though

You obviously haven’t seen my FB page Gary

Iv been having back problems for over 3 weeks now and my last Physio  appoitment referred me to get a MRI on Tuesday just gone

on sunday i  deteriorated   badly and Monday I sneezed while at the shopping centre car park, that was it I was fucked and couldn’t move

ambos come and got me, dosed me up on green stick to get me on there bed, then morphine then Valium to tie me over the night till I got my MRI on Tuesday

the results are not good, L5/s1 lumba disc is blowen out and causing pressure on my s1 nerve causing me the wicked sciatic pain that I am sure other members on here have experienced

    Need surgery

When i I do some runs in few weeks cava I will post fottage and time slips but first meet won’t be special as I won’t be able to launch it hard

Think im goin to go for biggest mph and slowest time record lol

    132mph @ 12.9 lol

I wont be able to put decent tyres on for a few months due to my back but when im better i will throw on some decent tyres and go for a decent 60 foot time

Car has been running excellent, takin it for a few drives since dyno run and it hasn’t skipped a beat

I was goin to take it to C4C in nth qld next weekend and even had a VIP ticket but Unforeseen Medical issues have arose and instead I’m goin to the city to get looked at by a specialist and spend a day on the operating table instead

so it’s next public event will be at the drags for some runs on a test and tune night  in a few weeks time

so idea is this tune just needs another tweek or 2 in the cold start and another road tune to fine tune it a little further and then I’ll save this on my lap top as my mostly used tune and is extremely safe and the car is very happy like this to drive

i am now learning how to make small changes with wide band logs and tuner can look to see if I’m doin things right to fine tune little parts as I go on over time

then ill save the tune with more timing when we do that and that will be uploaded when I go to strip or just feel completely and utterly stupid and want more power lol

we will also devide the e85 tune  by 1.34 (or what ever it is) at some stage with very little timing so I have a safe tune that can be used for 98 if I choose to use it at some stage for cruises and so on

I thought it was a slip on.  Do the performance world a favor and tune it with the collector supplied and down the line make a tapered one.  Then take it to dyno and do a run with the one supplied then one with the tapered.  If the tapered does help scavenging it should go slightly lean and more hp and torque.  It wont be lean enough to hurt anything but will give some results.
