I have done an Ngauge for a guy in a VR.  They are a very nice unit, and as Cav says you can display a lot of info.  I must admit I like the old school gauges though for oil pressure etc.  Much easier to read at a glance.

Its also offset by the potential for electrical gremlins out on the track, so its justifiable overkill if you see what I mean.

Couldn’t resist a quick test fit.  Got a full weekend of social stuff, so no Walter work for a while though unfortunately.

Yea I agree IJ. There are some items that are worth going the extra mile on.  On this build we def think it’s the windows. There’s some very cool stuff out there. Stay tuned.

Woo Hoo, our beautiful Creative Engineering polished aluminium front door window assemblies have arrived from the UK.  Can not wait to do a test fit and see how they look.

I make a nice 3 gauge mount for the VK.  Fits in the sunglass holder with no mods needed.  Gauges are actually quite easy to do, I am sure you will nail it.  Just a thought, I run a fuel pressure gauge inside mine.  I really like it, imo its more useful than a trans temp gauge.  This is the VK mount.

A guy has contacted me about doing a VY.  But I would like to do early girls.  The issue is I would need to work with someone who has one, and I would need to get hold of a console and selector gubbins to be able to design it to fit and work right.  I have a VL, but don’t have the VK.  I am always looking for new stuff to design.  Mind you these have gone off liek a frog in a sock so i am snowed under doing these ones.

Don’t set yourself a deadline mate. It’s not like you are 25 and fully fit. Who cares. We are loving watching the build. Take your time. Do what you can when you can.

I think most of you know I run a  little hobby business 3D printing parts called Build Ninja. I decided to finish off a gear indicator plate for the VN-S so when you run a ratchet, if you use the Dakota Digital style unit, you can illuminate what gear your in which is a requirement for engineering.

I thought I might as well fit one to mine as a test to make sure everything works as it should.  Goes together great and should look pretty schmick when its back in the car.

The world is still very much in a state of flux. Who bloody knows what the future holds. But hopefully not too long and we see this thing fire a shot in anger!!
