Posts: 5 777Anyone in Adelaide going to the Extreme Auto Expo at Wayville showgrounds this weekend. The Senator will be displayed as part of the Commodores and Classic Holden Enthusiasts car club inside. I’m planning to be there Saturday avo, if you come along, say g’day.

Posts: 5 777Finally got some time on it. Played around with the linkages and adjusting them longer means there is no way they can go over centre. I have to admit I don’t think its the greatest design out of Jenvey that getting them out by a few turns means you are so close to disaster but anyways live and learn. I think I will still design up some sort of hard stop device on the 3D printer just for belt and braces. Fitted up the kill switch but it’s not wired up yet. Also bought some replacement rubber for the fuel tank straps as that had got a bit torn up, so all looking sweet again. The cars off to Bpnez for a tidy up detail as its being displayed at Extreme Auto Expo at Wayvile showgrounds this weekend. So after that, I can do some more on it. Drive out to Williamstown was sweet though, its running great.

Posts: 5 777That last shot showing the steering wheel in position looks awesome. At least you are honest enough to show welds less than super model good looking. Even finger smear some sealant around it to make sure it’s all sealed. It is a race car after all!! Great work as always .

Posts: 5 777320rwhp, by my rule of thumb calc means 320 fwkw, which is 430fwhp which is around what they are saying. Imo peak HP is such an overstated number, its a pub pissing contest. It’s all about the shape of the power curve to produce it on a streetcar. Peaky engines are a bitch on the street. It will spend most of its life around 3,000 rpm, when you boot it at that, thats when you want it to stand up. It will boogie mate, no doubt about that. Top work.

Posts: 5 777Yea, I meant the “top” on the blower. I just thought it would look better if you didn’t have those two hose coming out the front. Has it been tried, just doesn’t fit?

Posts: 5 777Got told by someone once, rule of thumb is flywheel kW = rear wheel horsepower. I am guessing it’s going to make say 350kW at the flywheel, so that equates to approx 350 rwHP.

Posts: 5 777Hey Cav, is it possible to put that top on the blower 180 degrees so the two hoses come out the back not the front? Is it symmetrical?
