Yep but I think what Jaba is saying is because the calipers are mounted in front instead of behind the wheel they are effectively being mounted upside down which will put the bleed nipple at the bottom. So if he swaps the nipples and tube it will correct it. Interestingly on my Willwoods they have bleed nipple both sides so no matter how they get orientated on the car there is always a pair at the top. You will work it out I am sure. If you have any trouble, give Carl at PBR a call here in Adelaide, he is a walking encyclopaedia on brakes (and a top bloke too). Great brakes btw!!

Love seeing pics of cars like this being used and enjoyed too. Not abused, but used for what they were built for. Nice stuff.

Just be aware with 6 piston brakes they are usually handed. The piston diameters will be slightly different, the idea is as you hit the brakes the larger piston grips first then the others follow. There will be probably a direction arrow on the calipers, make sure you get it right :)

^^ I don’t see SC as the dark side, the members anyways, my beef is with the owners letting it die of neglect :(

Hopefully we will have a new feature very very soon on the forum which will make general chat easier and thread hijacks less common :).

But would you spend that sort of cash on an M80? Maybe a better bet to build a 9″ for a live axle that in the end will be so much stronger and much more sellable if you ever want to?

My view is what diffs can take is a little like transmissions. Some guys will run a 9, others kill them in the first burn out. Depends on your mechanical sympathy, what exactly you are doing with them and I think a little dose of luck :)

Painting it black was exactly what I had in mind. Actually I was thinking maybe black vinyl covering it to make it look factory?

Shame we are all so geographically far apart.

How true is that, defiantly in the back of my mind is a Commodores Plus cruise/get togther whatever. How good would that be. +1 for California too :)

I also cut small piece off each corner on rear of sump and welded in piece of flat plate over hole to give clearance to K frame.

Hey mate I have been looking for a photo to post up on the engine conversion thread of this mod, to help anyone else, if you get a chance could you throw one or two up here http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/forums/topic/vrvs-ls-engine-conversion-general-information/

That’s going to be a really a hard question to answer. Depends so much on how you treat it, and what your are doing with it.
