Gave me an excuse to use my hydraulic hole punch and dimple dies, did much better in the 3mm sheet than expected!

Lol, the first thing I thought of when I saw the pics was saying you obviously like that tool!!  Does a neat job though.

I upload to my Facebook page then right click/copy image address and pop it in the pic box here.

Just be aware after a period of time the link will break, FB doesn’t assign a permanent address to each pic.  The only way I know is to use an image sharing program like Imgur etc.

    Happy VL anniversary

I saw that come up too, time flies right.  Bloody love that car, not sure why, it’s only making about 100kW, but just cool to cruise in.

GMH is dead, the VL lives on, at least it has the iron lion, not some jap crap or god forbid an american LS.

Ahh yes, but my LS is iron not ally….

Tbh pretty happy to be amongst the quality of those other cars, I reckon mine would be close to the only real driver maybe?

Hi Vince,  yea sounds like sense re the ivory colour, might when the time comes, do some test panels, at the end of the day Suesy will have the final say, this one I am building for her :)

The hoist is a MaxJax, its hydraulic.  A fantastic piece of kit, lifts the car to 1.3m, which is about all the height I have in a 2.4 tall shed.

MaxJax Standard Package – Portable 2-Post Car Lift

Yea agree, I think it’s a nice-looking old girl, and far too good to hot rod.  Actually soon going to putting it undercover into my new garage, then I can clean it up a little.  Found an old photo of when Dad had got stuck into the resto and it looked a lot better than it does now, will try and find it and post it up.

No you are 100% right. It’s that and classic ivory but with a touch of pearl. I am not a fan of them single colour.

Yea I know right, but its the only time I can get off of any length.

Finally managed to find a sample pic of the colour I have in mind.  Its called Sunburst.

I also agree most forums are not very popular these days as a majority peeps seem to prefer social media platforms. When I get time I certainly will post here.

Lol, I love catching up with your jokes, and I wont lie, I have poached one or two for when I am the pub with the boys on a Friday night…

Got a lot done on the wiring, its hitting 40 out there today so might be the end of shed work.

Drive line issue turned out to be this tiny single bolt that literally is the rear trans mount.  Bit of a step down from the 454!!  Dug out the old service manual Dad gave me with the car, man I miss those days, the books a work of art!!  Took it for a sneaky little drive up the road by me and back, what a fantastic little thing to drive.  Already getting thumbs up from people going past.

Got the head lights, side lights, rear tail lights, and number plate lights working.  Looks like the brake pressure switch that activates the brake lights might be faulty, so I that’s got to come from the UK.  Also have fitted rear indicators, and they are all wired up and working.  I just need to sort some sort of indicator stitch.  These cars you sit so close to the steering wheel there is no room behind to put a normal style indicator stalk, so its something on the dash.

    But good fun.
