So true IJ at times it’s a bit overwhelming, but every hour is an hour closer to the finish .

^will log in as admin later and clean that up for you when I get chance :good:

Got a bit done today, heading off to an Aussie day BBQ at a mates so don’t have a full day.  Got the two lower long side verticals in.  Had a head scratch and thought if I made the join above the weld of the long side repair I could get to both side of that weld and get it finished off.  So did that, then Suesy got in the cabin and slowly ran a torch against the inside of the weld and I marked off with a texta anywhere there was a pin hole.  Then went along and sanded each area clean and touched up the welds.  Worked well. Then did my first panel beating try, and from the inside beat out where the weld was low, that seemed to pretty good once I worked out what I was doing.  So that’s the long side finished off for now, and the two verticals welded in.

I thought that’s what I wrote?, ie the 200 (Teflon) being easier than the rubber.  But I am getting old!!

Does NOT work with PTFE (Teflon) hoses

Tbh its so long since I did any hose work on mine I don’t remember that.  I can’t believee that pic mate, seriosuly I couldn’t believe how easy the 200 series was to fit after working with the rubber.  Aeroflow seems to have a bad name, althought that wasnt my experience.

In fact, I reckon I still have a bit that’s been cut that’s just in the box hardly splayed if you know what I mean.  That must be a total pita.

Jesus wept, that’s bullshit.  Mine did nothing like that, not even close.  Maybe that needs to be sent back?

Easy as mate, anytime don’t hesitate, this sort of stuff gets a lot of use for short time then sits on the shelf, always happy to loan it out to the right person of course ;-)

Nope, don’t really do enough Braided hose to warrant it till now.

They are not the kind of thing you use every day, but does make it easier.  Once again petty we arent closer together could have given you them to use.  Prob too late to post them over, your pretty much done right?

^the prototype of that was displayed alongside the Senator at Holden’s Back Home. So beautiful, they should have built it.

shit I saw that in Sydney back in 2000 it was awesome better looking than the Monaro

    Totally, it was/is gorgeous.

I must have had “good” hose, as I don’t remember anything like that.  In fact the opposite, I couldn’t believe how much easier it was to use the 200 than the 100 previously.  I have a set of “kool tools” though, do you use them?

^tend to agree with Vin.  I am not sure I have heard of 3 pass radiator.  Mine is double pass, which means the tank has a divider in it so the coolant has to go across the radiator once like normal but then back across again as a second pass.  Power makes heat, that’s the prob, and the bays on these cars are small which makes it worse.  Maybe even try a cheap Chinese eBay special?
