Sounds like you live in Western Sydney mate lol. Seems like a case of when and not if up here.

Looks like an easy job to sort the bay ;) I will get back to you on the list of bits when I get time to find the back shed through the rain lol.

Once you take the side plate off in front of the filler and undo filler neck clamp and disconnect vent hose, it would be easy to drop the tank. Probably more work to empty a ute tray, pull out the liner just to get to the access panel lol ;)

Cheers. Are you using one of the usual engineers like Ray Spence or John Wilson?
Mine fits neatly on the drivers side in front of the diff, no leaks or heavy smells so far fingers crossed.
The fuel tank isn’t the usual setup either. A mate who built the car went with a shortened VU SS setup in a long range tank.

What carbon canister are you using? I used the stock VT-VZ style mounted where you have your fuel filter.

Cheers RayRay07. They are a great diff, weight and power consumption wise, and can take some punishment unlike the 10 bolts. It doesn’t take much for the whine to kick in.

Have a 4000rpm lockup stall waiting on the shelf along with a new steering rack. Want to fit a baby cam while replacing the lifters which are starting to rattle when cold, something with lift in the 21′-22′ range. Just enough to take out the factory lag in response without being an all out ball tearer. It is my daily and does plenty of 500km+…[Read more]

It has been in an insurance claim, full comprehensively insured, rego papers have the engine number and capacity, full blue slip carried out, covered under the VSI regs when done. No worries in the slightest here ;)

A guy up that way is currently doing an LS3 conversion into a VH, but the engineer will be involved.

Damn, you have dug in deep. It looks restorable from current condition. 12 weeks is a fair wait for a blaster if left unless between jobs. Will be a good investment if it pans out ok. A mate restored 2 but his wife took off in one and become a groupy for Indy bands. Still seems to be going lol..

Had a nine inch before and not a fan. The centre felt as heavy as the VLT diff sitting nearby. A BW78 4 pinion will be the next upgrade if any change is made.
