6 months is far too long!
Have now registered the big girl down here in Melbourne, couldnt resist no driving it anymore!!
New daily driver too, HSV XUV number 211. Im the second owner and have replaced the Landcruiser as daily and tow rig. Fantastic car, easy to drive everyday. Have done a Manta exhaust, VCM OTR and engine/gearbox tune. Spot on:
September 29, 2015 at 4:31 pm #9709Very cool idea mate, looks good. Agree too that monthly is the go unless you could write a code for it to randomly select from 4 or 5 each time a page is loaded then you could have it up for longer.
September 23, 2015 at 6:59 pm #9497September 21, 2015 at 8:56 am #9379Put that up on their facebook, will get no responses though haha!! Least its all done and dusted now
September 19, 2015 at 7:31 pm #9364Harder to do a checker pattern but epoxy paint sealer kits are great in that they are easy to clean. Having one consistent colour improves the appearance of the shed, and having a gloss on it also reflects the light, making the area seem brighter.
Priorities sorted, good garage for the car, astroturf in front of the BBQ so your feet dont get dirty haha!
August 26, 2015 at 7:26 pm #8765Hence why I haven’t bought that mag for years! Prefer to follow the builds on forums now.
August 10, 2015 at 7:18 pm #8324July 27, 2015 at 9:14 pm #8119Coming along well, like the look of the VT GTS interior. Very retro haha!!
What reverse camera did you go with? Seperate screen or new rear view mirror.

July 17, 2015 at 7:22 pm #8008Nope, great car but crappy stickers. Plus advertising someone elses business when there’s no benefit for you, dont get it haha!!
Plus still amazed you can drive that around on the street with a permit in QLD haha!!!!
June 1, 2015 at 7:28 pm #7401Yep they are, but once you get it sorted its fantastic to have decent brakes. I would change to brided brake lines, improves braking performance quite alot
May 31, 2015 at 2:07 pm #7366Im guessing by the lack of tow bar you havent towed with it yet, but if you just bolt it on/off what does it tow like?
Im thinking of selling my Landcruiser/daily driver and buy a 06 VZ SS to become my new tow car/ daily driver.
Car is looking good too, plus spending money in the right places
March 24, 2015 at 7:19 pm #3318Could be easily painted to blend in better, i just had the checker plate sitting around the shed so was perfect to use. Bit of foam underneath it so it didnt rub or destroy the mats. Doesnt rattle or move at all actually, it does fit perfectly and the “arms” where it bolts to the seat captive nuts are measured and cut near on perfectly. Plus the fire extinguisher bracket is well secured also.
Yep only 50, they did however make a few more standard VZ Clubsports and R8s in yellow, MY06 only though. Pitty if the locals did destory one! I have a register of them, either info from their current owners or old for sale adds and ive only accounted for 2 written of of the 20 odd i have found
March 23, 2015 at 2:12 pm #3256Thanks gents, its a fantastic car.
That shed pic was from a track day at eastern creek. That was a GT3 Porsche! These are my other cars!
Yep thats me over on the HSV forum, in regards to the bracket i just made it up to fit the front bolt holes of the seat, with some foam underneath
Haha @Krooza, they didnt even stop to have a chat!
March 17, 2015 at 8:50 pm #2897March 17, 2015 at 8:27 pm #2888This is a hell of a car, have been watching it on PF (insert swear word here).
Amazing job on the paint, would be great to see a video of how you do it, or even a recommendation on a video to watch.
Will be keeping an eye on this thread with great interest
March 8, 2015 at 7:52 pm #2248Very nice, fantastic GTS.
Will have one in my shed one day
March 6, 2015 at 8:46 pm #2136Ive got a couple of favourites but this one is up there. Shot as the sun was going down at the end of the Top Gear Festival at eastern creek, of which my car was part of the opening sequence of the Top Gear TV Special.
