I always loved the V5’s, had them on mine for many years, tough looking rim. I wish they did them in 19’s or 20’s with the stepped rather than flat dish that the FR’s 19 and 20’s have, i’d have them again.

You getting the outer’s professionally polished?

Apparently Star Performance use to modify the rear to correct the camber back in the day. I knew a guy with a VT that had it done.

Nice progress, is the powder coating expensive?

Did you go with the color you had picked for the V5’s or change it?

Good to see some progress, you getting the door jam’s done too?

If you don’t mind revealing, what sort of company would make the molds? I could see if there’s any local to me and ask.

Why not stick with the FR’s but go a custom colour centre? Bigger dish on the rear.

    Around $1000 less than retail.

The ones on that Brock are 18’s, I’m yet to see a set of 20’s. Should look good, you getting them from Temp? Able to squeeze them on price?

Yeah he is. He’s got a couple of days off in the week now though. He works with Athol Burns at a shed in Langwarren. I’d be going there SLE355. You’re paying him then and you still get the guru on the tools at a fair discount

Cheers mate, the whole car is immaculate, credit to you.

I figure that the minimum order would cover enough for 100 bars. Have to still talk to a manufacturer to confirm.

That is a lot, you could try selling them on Ebay and forums and Facebook pages.

I wonder if another company who does the same thing would do a smaller order?

Great work mate, will be so much nicer when you get the fresh paint on. Good to hear your going with the molds and pin strip too.

Regarding getting the front bar molding made up, how many bar’s would that minimum order cover? I reckon there would be plenty of people interested in getting them, I’d probably grab one for the front. Great idea though, wouldn’t have thought of getting something like that made up.

Harder to do a checker pattern but epoxy paint sealer kits are great in that they are easy to clean. Having one consistent colour improves the appearance of the shed, and having a gloss on it also reflects the light, making the area seem brighter.

Looks good, where did you get the kit and how much?
