not much happening here atm been a bit crook and the heat means i just cbf gettin out there an sweating my guts out to often to do shit

    but

i did make sum changes to the audio after my 4 channel was to big to fit anywhere and my 12 inch sub decided to pack it in after 11 years lol

alpine 12 inch type r dual 2ohm sub boot

pioneer gm-8604 cfgd at 4x100rms – front splits and rear shelf 8 inch subs

    pioneer gm-8601 cfgd at 1x1000rms 1ohm – 12inch type r sub in boot

mmm nice sounds at last B-)

also managed to pick up a new 20×8 bbs style rim in full satin black with a new 245 tyre cheap so i now have a spare to fit over me brembos  :-)

so i finally got me brembos on now i just gotta find a spare wheel to fit over them bloke at local bob jane has a bunch of trade ins an odds an ends we gunna try an fit an if he aint got sumthin he says he will find me sumthin dont nee to be anything special as long as its straight a bit of rash an shit can be painted over

also got me sub box and mono block wired an mounted good to have sum decent bass but me 4 channel for front an rear is to large to fit anywhere cept upside down which i dont do as heatsinks are on top of amps for a reason so im lookin at a nice focal 4way for about 400$ which is about the size of 6 dvd cases stacked together so that is gunna run my focals up front an my hertz 2 ways an kenwood 8 inch shelf subs thru a set of cross overs but for now my trusty old 2 way alpine is running the front splits no worries

total bitch running all the rcas trigger an speaker cables the carpet is stuck down by sum real sticky shit  but the power an ground distros were much easier with the battery in teh boot

shouldnt be any difference tween vp vr vs v8 irs FE2 springs a hsv with fe2 shud be identical to a non hsv with fe2 as fe2 is a holden factory part

the only differences you may find would be due to age and use an sag

small update installed sports armour to the front bar today cover up sum scratches an scrapes that were on it when i bought it

needs a bit of chrome on the front so might have a look for sum thin strips like u used to see on wheel guards back in the day an work it around the outside of the grill

starting to hate the large chrome lion on the front grille but doesnt seem to be much to replace it with i dont want to black it out and anyone says a chev badge will get a kick in the nuts  :negative: hehe

alpine ine-w960a with alpine pfk-ves1g2 perfect fit control unit

yep has gps nav etc its not to bad so far although ive only had a quick mess around with it to test stuff out an take a look around

ill get a better idea of it once ive finished installing the speakers subs an amps but it does sound rather good on the shitty factory speakers an subs atm

bit of a headfuck pullin a ve dash apart for the first time to fit it tho lol

DAMN IT WAS HOT but i got the headunit and hvac control unit in an working no pics yet as its still a mess ive gotta mount the nav arial and handsfree mic an then slap the top of the dash back together and then splice in my 2 looms for the console and ashtray leds and slap the bottom back together and its sposed to be HOTTER tomorrow lol

got the rcas an trigger ready to run up to the boot so i might pull those through on the weekend and replace the subs an install my monoblock and leave the speakers for a later day when its not so damn HOT

could always make it a naws button but you would need another gauge to monitor the welds on the manifold hehe

so my dud ssv rim is now no longer holding air and theres no cheap second handys around an to expensive to buy new seein they dont fit over the brembos so i shud have my fr1 20s on friday 8.5/245 up front 9.5/275 up back gloss black centers with polished outers

also picked up the last couple of little bits i needed to get the audio done so ill make a start on that tomorrow if its not to hot else ill just make up my loom and get my center console light in for 22$ instead of the 60$ or whatever insane price it was to buy the whole thing genuine

so went out today an picked up a few more things

change of plans with the audio the headunit i wanted wasnt in stock and i got different speakers but anyways

alpine ine-w960a multi media head unit

alpine pfk-ves1g2 perfect fit control unit

    focal 6.5 splits up front

    hertz coax 2 ways rear

all in my hot little hands now i need it to stop raining so i can get to it

also picked up vf ssv redline boot badge first thing ive got from holden that was cheaper than ebay haha

also enquired about redline wheels for a spare to fit over brembos lol i think ill give holden a miss at 749 for ve an 799 for vf each for a single rim no tyre or center cap :)

new ac fix update bracket with twin pullies an slightly longer belt installed no more walkin ac belt

pool noodle in under the front bar got rid of the sag

monroe struts installed into the rear

    sum spiffy led parkers

    sports foot rest in

drives like a totally different car now i definately think whiteline sway bars will need to be added just cause why not

on the other hand i found that the right front out of the headunit is dead not the speakers so im goin with an alpine mutlimedia unit + alpine control unit for the canbus hvac hazard lights etc an prolly sum type r splits up front an coax 2 ways in rear doors

i already have subs an amps to go in

wheels i can wait for but the front brakes cant go on without them :( but right now id rather have sum decent sound for driving :)

for those wondering about pics there will be more when theres something more to show

i tell ya dont drop tiny led parkers into your headlights

decided to put my led parkers in yeh so all good both in passenger side dont work pull it outta the hole an plop the bloody thing fell inside the back of the headlight

pain in the ass to get the headlight out but i thought i can do my pool noodle fix an make it easier to do ac bracket fix tomorrow so off with the grill the rock tray the front bar an pull the inner guards half out and after all that i test the led an yep its dead straight outta the pack

im not puttin it back together until the ac bracket pool noodle and a new led is in i dont want to drop it in that light again lol
