You need to fit them otherwise in an accident the pins could impale someone. Thats why they are bolted/welded in.

October 26, 2015 at 3:21 pm #10630Awesome…
So where are you sourcing the engine from? new or used?
October 22, 2015 at 2:02 pm #10460Well its the best built vr/vs ever build in my eyes and the detail and custom work is top notch and its all legal. Most people are not mad enough to spent this sort of time and money on a old commodore. I know the obsession I have a vs money pit lol
October 22, 2015 at 1:15 pm #10455Be interested to see it all back together see how it looks
October 22, 2015 at 11:45 am #10452Back to smashing tires….
Will the new trans be painted orange too?
October 22, 2015 at 11:04 am #10447What pan are you using im running the later deep pan which helps as it hold more fluid .. Also can get the finned deeper b and m trans pans too
Thats mine b and m for V8 they called it… Works well cars copped torture with a stock trans and lived with fairly big hp and torque increase. Apparently its the older fin type less efficient. Notice newer ones have thicker but less fins much better
If i had my time again id use this that better fin design and the inbuilt thermo fan this one…

October 22, 2015 at 9:04 am #10445Thanks mate, have you taken this on a decent drive. Keen to hear your driving impressions.
It would be fairly potent I would think?
So whats the plan run in the engine more and do a more aggressive tune?

October 21, 2015 at 11:51 am #10406Wow, its different but I like it!! Mate off the gun that looks pretty bloody damn good. Colour is such a personal thing anyway, as long as you like it. Not sure if you have done the LS conversion before, I did a write up a little while back summarizing what I had learned doing mine, not sure if its useful, here’s the link http://www.commodoresplus.com.au/forums/topic/vrvs-ls-engine-conversion-general-information/ Keep the updates coming
Have you amended this to reflect the new type of crs headers?
October 21, 2015 at 10:56 am #10398The car is completely original apart from a new window master switch from a VL.
