Where did you source the engine from?
Who are you using for engineering?
Great to see progress

December 2, 2015 at 9:15 am #11798Good pic really shows the rear wheels they look fat…. Glad you drive it does it get much attention and looks when you drive it in general?

November 30, 2015 at 11:18 am #11763If you were careful with a heat gun ever so slowly got under it you could probably peel it off a get it recoated… save you having to pull the console apart

November 26, 2015 at 5:54 pm #11717Sounds nice at idle, good little lope to it…
November 26, 2015 at 2:06 pm #11703Ah yeah interesting thats cool. So did it have the smoothed out base on the manifold and the two large ports rather than the four?
Yeah bang for buck ls1 is the way to go.

November 26, 2015 at 1:57 pm #11700Would you consider running efi/ stroker?
What was “hdt” about the 253?
November 26, 2015 at 1:49 pm #11695November 26, 2015 at 11:56 am #11683What I can confirm is the experience of nailing first, smoking it up to about 100km, then using the pro ratchet smashing it into top in the glide without lifting, clutch, whatever is about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on Note: The action above was completed on a private road under controlled conditions – do not try this at home
Thats the ultimate description of torque there… Who needs to ride the brakes, plant it… hold on and smile.. Its funny people asked what I was after in my build I thought if it could scare/excite me every time I drive it that’s all I cared about. Dyno sheets and et times dont do much for me, its about the driving experience. This build alhou its had its issues sounds like its turning into a fun usable thing. Hope you get the pump sorted soon and get some ks on it enjoy it.
Did you get the side skirt sorted or still want me to keep an eye out?
If there was a video of such antics could it make it into my inbox

How many ks has the actual car done by the trim looks like not much?
November 25, 2015 at 9:07 am #11656Yeah I know them nice work very expensive thou. We removed mine and refitted it without any major dramas. Biggest problem was getting it to stay back in kept breaking out after. You could vinyl wrap it and keep it on there but looks pretty average doesn’t have the deep gloss finish you will want
November 24, 2015 at 12:34 pm #11637I know I just keep of thinking of more information.. My bad
November 24, 2015 at 9:34 am #11621The one you are after is the one from the premium console the padded calais/statesman style one. Its fake leather its a vinyl that this sits in.
Best bet would be to get your existing one coated. They have been on ebay a few times and pulled drug money but not in the last year or so. They are nla seen few poor knock off ons ebay didnt really even resemble it. They were origionally resin with a 3m backing. They were not real carbon obviously but id call them console insert/inlay. I have a new auto one here they just peel the backing off and press onto the hard plastic shell underneath.
You can get your plastic bit wrapped, coated in a few ways. Only thing unless you fill it you will have the indent for the coin cutout where its meant to be flat.
And no one will/can match the exact original I have tried this to death. I have also found very expensive exercise
