any mods to the l67?
March 16, 2016 at 9:30 am #15047Dont rare spares sell them?
March 15, 2016 at 10:04 am #15031Absolutely stunning ute! Love the understated look. Were the Di Fillipo’s pain to fit? What’s the ground clearence like? Don’t see many of them.
I have them on my vs l67 and I if they are anything like this they are bloody terrible. Hang low fouled on rack, made oxy sensors come on a bad angle etc etc. Pacemakers were perfect
March 11, 2016 at 12:39 pm #14978I mean its not built to run down the quarter really if it was would have bigger cam, stall, gears, e85 etc. It does cop a few hard launches and thats enough for the lsd to cry enough. The torque delivery with a roots blower isnt all that kind on drive line components. I can destroy a passenger engine mount in a few hard take offs for example and gearbox mounts after a few thousand ks. We had to build an engine damper to address this.
March 11, 2016 at 10:19 am #14973Its just a cruiser and im happy with the performance. Im not into it revving any harder, anything that will make it more likely to wheel spin etc. Its a nice package as it is now.
March 11, 2016 at 9:20 am #14970Great feedback guys thanks, nice to hear from people who have actually used them.Anything that keeps its strait is better
Did you find they helped with traction over as conventional lsd?
Im just running stock 3.08 gears and sticking with them.

March 10, 2016 at 6:11 pm #14952Impressive job you did with the gauge holders, you should make the ones for the drivers top ac vent too.
March 10, 2016 at 5:48 pm #14948yeah kind find much feedback either on it.. Im getting it done at a good price so just doing eaton anyway just wondered if people had seen them or knew of them the copy ones from tuff car parts.
What did you pay supplied and installed if you want pm me?
March 10, 2016 at 4:41 pm #14942Yeah they look great. Honestly its just crazy I have killed to brand new lsds in under 10,000ks. And its going to be tuned and that not going to help the matter.

March 10, 2016 at 12:57 pm #14921some discussion I found on it.
I don’t see the problem – they are in a lot of dirt track cars. It needs to be securely mounted to the firewall or some bracket and it will increase the effort to the driver in proportion to the reduction in movement so you will place additional load on the components before the box itself but… downstream forces should not increase… make sure the stuff between you and the box isn’t tin foil and all should be fine. If there is a rag joint… replace it with a u-joint.
81cpcamaro Reader Sept. 11, 2012 2:01 p.m. I have one in my autox car. If you put it in the engine compartment between the steering column and rack, you could still have the collapsible part of the column functioning. They do put more stress on the power steering pump. If you have manual steering, run away. The effort to turn with a quickener is very high. There are several styles out there, check the roundy round suppliers like Speedway, Lefthander Chassis or Coleman racing. They come in both 2:1 and 1.5:1 ratios. On the street, be careful as the car can become darty, especially at speed. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to have mine on a road course due to this, but I have a 1.5:1 quickener on a 12:1 steering box (think 1 turn lock-to-lock). A slower ratio rack/box may be okay with a quickener. The safety warnings are probably due to the quickeners not being DOT tested/approved. Most seem to be built well.

March 10, 2016 at 12:42 pm #14917really nice work curious to hear how you go when you drive it next mate
March 10, 2016 at 12:39 pm #14915Thanks mate, from what I can see I dont think you can get a TT for the ridig rear end diff from what I can find. Primitive how so? Dont really want chattering or shuddering etc.
How do you find it bit brutal when it comes on etc. This is a street car that I want to be nicely mannered.

March 10, 2016 at 9:32 am #14907I have seen that but would rather wait until one with a radio surround comes up
.

March 9, 2016 at 10:42 am #14897March 8, 2016 at 2:34 pm #14867What a great idea dam I think I need one… what the general consensus on fitting one of these to a street car?
March 8, 2016 at 1:24 pm #14854Today End! Ran the Tonner into town to collect mail, drives so much better with much less pull to the left on cambered roads (actually caught myself over correcting a few times) Picked up my Steering Quickener for the Lexcen, for Autocross the stock rack is just a bit slow, this has a 1.5:1 ratio and installs in the steering shaft, searched everywhere couldn’t find a quicker rack to suit so this is the next best thing. Weather here cools down on Thursday so I’ll get stuck into the Shed then.
Interesting where did that come from?
make sure you take heaps of pics on the install process
Could/Would you use this on a street car this has sparked my interest?
