April 20, 2015 at 12:40 am #5091Just bought a set of ngk iridiums. Less that 100 bucks and dont need to worry about them for another 5 years. Cant be stuffed doing it too often with copper ones. The plugs are not so easily accessible on these as they used to be on old v6’s.
btw. The iridium ones are the only option in ngk catalogue for my car. No copper plugs

April 19, 2015 at 6:58 pm #5071I am doing 60 000k’s service soon and I reckon I’ll ditch them
The handbook says to change them every 120 000 k’s but my car is almost five years old and idles in heavy traffic heaps
They are 11 bucks each from holden but am also looking into NGK iridium.
I am pretty sure ac delco are iridium too

2. (Auto) With a screwdriver unclip the top selector panel from the under the dash panel and console, lift the selector panel, twist around the gear lever ‘T’ and remove.
3. Pull the handbrake up as far as it will go. Pull zip down.
4. Prise the console top section and attaching screws at the front of the console with a philips head screwdriver.
5. Disconnect any electrical connections that may be present for accessories and lights.

No point in fussing to much about it by the looks of it
The OEM in the car is now almost 45 yrs old so I’d like something that will last about the same
