Not sure what Aust regs require to be road legal, but this is what I came up with.

Just make your own, I was originally going to run a 4l60 in mine, made a crossmember using angle iron bolted to chassis mounts and Chanel steel welded between the angle iron at the correct height for the mount. Will dig it out and take a pic tonight.

I know those seats are functional but dam they are ugly hahaha rest of the car looks mint and is progressing quickly

I don’t mind the seats (like them better than Kirkys), but will be having them retrimmed in a colour to match the rest of the interior.

Bolted the seats back in and mounted the Pro Bandit shifter.

Cheers, will probably dynomat from firewall to rear seat and see how it goes, don’t want to add too much weight as it gonna see quite a bit of 1/4 mile action.

Got the Exhaust system back from being coated, Pro Coat cermachrome :good:

Had the bumper brackets and battery box powder coated at the same time, came out awesome , look better than new.

Scrapped all the original sound deadening off the interior floor (what a ……. of  a job)

gonna paint the floor while I’m at it, will probably dynomat it at a later stage.

    Floor tubbed for exhaust

Exhaust almost done, just a few mounts & o2 bungs to weld on, tucks up pretty good for a 4″ drain pipe :good:

    Getting closer…..

    Downpipe done

    Intercooler pipes done

Gonna notch the floor, (rear passenger side) to tuck the center section of exhaust as high as possible.

Not done much over last couple of weeks, back into it though.

Firewall notched for downpipe, and started building exhaust.

Last section done 4″ up and over the diff, 4″ muffler.

    Rear view

Pretty sure your turbo is about maxed out.

mates forged cast 6.0 wouldn’t make any more than low 400rwkws through a TH400 and 3500 converter with the same turbo (pump gas) going from 12 to 18 psi only netted about 20 kw.

Testing exhaust manifold back pressure pre turbo would tell the story.

But where its at is still gonna be plenty fast, hooking up is the biggest hurdle.

My VX is crazy on street tyres and high boost 575 rwkw, will break loose rolling on in 4th gear at 160kms plus

Not sure what regulations you have to deal with, but have heard of VL radiator support being used.

i chopped mine out and made something from scratch to suit.

You could try some poly air bags inside your existing springs, then you can just pump them up when loading up the car.

Got Drag Bags in my VX , work well – just pump them up when required.

245s on 9.5″ rims must be pretty dam stretched…

looks like you need 9″ rims or narrow diff and mini tubb.
