Thought I might also add, seems like something strange has happened to being able to reply to a private message. Georgie is actually heading on a holiday overseas tomorrow for her honey moon, so I think fixing that issue has slipped down her priority list for while. When she is back we will get onto it

They are currently finishing off the machining of the block and crank. The heads are stripped down, and thankfully are perfect. I didn’t realize it has titanium inlet valves and sodium filled exhaust valves standard. He is then working out the static compression we are going for. Then we know what we need to order and the sizes, i.e. pist…[Read more]

Yea my Willwood set up is 6 piston fronts, 4 piston rears, brakes are epic. But as i say specifically went for the ones that fit inside a 15″ rim on the rear and the original 17″x 8 HSV 5 spokes on the front. Always had in mind running it on the strip at some stage.

I chose my brake package specifically as even though they are 4 spot rears they clear a 15″ rim. More sidewall is better for grip, and I figure that can only be a good thing given its IRS. Have over the years had a lot of wheel work done, there is a good place I use here in Adelaide (Extensive Wheel Services) that you just give them a 15″ i…[Read more]

No worries, for some reason I keep thinking 275 is the go. If I do is there a perfect rim width for 275s?

Not sure, wouldn’t the extra traction be more use? I have no idea what sort of mph it may run. I would be happier with it not quite pulling 7k at the line than hitting the limiter just before?

New engine will rev to 7k, rear is 3.55:1, yea I am fitting interceptors, just going to make them the width and offset to suit the tyres.

Yea def need to go 200 series on the pressure side, found that out the hard way….
Actually if I did my car again I would use 200 everywhere, rated to much higher pressure, impervious to E85 etc, and most importunately the fittings are way easier to assemble.

OK CP drag racing brains trust….
So I am going to get a pair of 15″ steelies made up, so I can run ET streets. Ant these I believe are what I have to pick from;
I think I could possible squeeze 295’s in there. but I know 275’s will fit. So what do you guys think I should go for, and given I am getting the rims m…[Read more]

Just dropped it off to him, apparently he works on his own now so turn around times can be a bit slower, but he did a great job on my other stuff.

Hey mate, looks like there has been a hiccup with the forum messaging. I just replied to you re the cluster you wanted. Can you confirm that its to suit the regular plastic pocket, like on execs etc, or is it to suit the vinyl lined pocket like on the HSV/Berlina’s etc? Cheers Gary.
