Lol, that would kinda put a brake on things!!

I am really loving your attention to detail and engineering.  Top work on welding the nuts so neatly for example, to me its those little details that make all the difference.

I knew 2/10ths of stuff all about them too before starting my build, flare/stall/loose/tight bla bla, the guys that know what they are doing like Grant at Norwood’s who did mine can make them do just about anything to suit the application.

Not really, i am pretty much used to working on it and being careful.  I have some cheap quilts I bought from Target and I throw them over the car so I dont lean directly on it or if I drop something it has a half a chance of not scratching it.

Yea I guess you are right, they must be under some sort of load though or they wouldn’t be needed?  All good, carry on building kind sir!!

For sure its way way better than stock, and only giving my opinion/musing/trying to add value, but using countersunk heads screws like that from a pure engineering standpoint isn’t really the best way to do it, as you just are not gaining the full potential strength wise of a what is a good design mod/improvement.  Personally I think a better way…[Read more]
