And I am anal about shutting off the cylinder all the time when not using it. Even during the day. That way you absolutely minimize the use/wastage of gas. I have a larger cylinder too, not sure what size, but you chew through the tiny one very quickly.

I haven’t actually had a chance to sit down with Brenton and discuss what he settled on for compression etc. We have a goal in mind for hp on 98, and we have set the target rpm at 7k.

Just remember the volume of E85 is more for the same power so you need a larger diameter hose. If you go braided use 200 series (Teflon) as its compatible with E85 and petrol, and as a bonus is much easier to fit the fittings anyway. Hardline imo where possible, then braided where needed from there. But braided gets expensive, the fittings ad…[Read more]

Awesome, nice score. Imo forget the gasless, it just doesn’t produce a nice weld. But play around, great skill to have

Nice bit of shed therapy today. Not the most glamorous of jobs but I have never been happy with the way the loom was originally done. So a good mate of mine Mike has come around and we have spent some time tidying up the main loom where it goes across on the firewall, and there will now be two looms forward, one under the ITB’s will go to the s…[Read more]

Yea I was wondering the same thing. I mean I know headers on a streeter are a compromise length wise, but they are very uneven. Still would love to see some in the flesh. Not sure how low they would sit either. I noticed quite a difference swapping form the Paccies to the 4 into 1’s as to how low they sit.

Thought this was worth posting, thanks to a guy on the LS The World FB page. These apparently are available and negate the need for the starter swap. I don’t have any more info than that but thought it might be worth posting.

Thats one nice little lesson right there :) Nothing anywhere near as severe (or impressive) but back in the day running LPG on my VL they would backfire occasionally when starting (they just did), but the injection set up was only held down by the centre threaded rod that normally just holds the air cleaner, unfortunately on a Quadrajet the…[Read more]

I didn’t think you were allowed to do that, you cant vent anything to atmosphere no matter what. At least that’s my understanding 9could be wrong). You can get around it by removing the vented cap and using a solid cap when you go through engineering. That’s what the guy with the white Brock VC look alike did I am pretty sure.
