Well, that’s an interesting few days…
Got it all installed, hit the starter, turned over but no fuel pumps. Bugger… Looked around, couldn’t spot anything obvious. Rank Mike who had done some wiring, he was able to come around the next morning. Started playing around, then at one stage while we more or less standing there the pumps dec…[Read more]

Phew, what a few days. Literally got it running at 5 o’clock last night, tbh I posted up on FB, cracked a beer and called it quits. Might throw this up here first, it’s first fire so hadn’t played with the idle or anything, sounds angry and very tuff imo. Will post after the whole story/saga.

About to start day 3. Yesterday got the headers in, I thinks its all about sequence and process. Took most of the day though. But that a combination of doing them on my own, no room, and paranoia about scratching anything. So have made up a list of whats left, might go close today but will wait and see. I have waited this long not rush…[Read more]

Good solid day, still struggling with the aftermath of the flu, so doing it in chunks then resting. Tbh I had forgotten all the work and details I did when I built it, its only as I am reassembling it all it coming back to me. I cant remember how many hours I put into the engine oil cooling system, the remote oil filter pickup and mount etc. Bu…[Read more]

Had the dreaded man flu all week, then been helping the in-laws move today. But this afternoon got an hour or so. Thought I would start to get it back on 4 wheels. Managed to locate everything (+1 for being OCD about storage/labeling) and got both hubs and front suspensions on and locked up. She loos so purdy. A bonus too as more and more bit…[Read more]

My lad is dating a girl from Sapin and her family were out here. So they borrowed the truckster and went down to Second Valley, McLaren Vale for a couple of days. Apparently, it never missed a beat, and even Clara’s Dad thought it was pretty old school cool

I am sorry to admit the only time it came out of the box was the day I got it, then it just sat there on the “one day” list… Good its back to a new home and some use. Really coming together IJ, looks like you have learnt tons off the Lexcan in what to do and what not to do. Shotgun a ride when you come over to Collingrove!

Yep 100% IJ. I can so see how it would be awesome if the headers hugged better and could be left on. And yep getting it in is the big part. Now I can chip away at it .
