I sort of think the cradle is the way. Given how this thing will be driven, would I be right if you have an “excursion” in it, chances are it will stuff the cradle. otherwise all those loads may be put into the shell? Repairing the cradle would be easier than the shell? If it was a heavily built shell maybe it would be OK but seems like it al…[Read more]

There’s a chrome and coffee kind of event near me once a month, they are quite good as you can go when you want. And it gives me a reason to drive it. But yea def we are similar cars are for driving and enjoying rather than displaying.

Yea I think me too, just static displays to the general public are a little, I don’t know boring. Some of the cars around me seriously had to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I mean they are awesome to look at, but you could tell they weren’t really ever driven.

Yea, dead head fuel system at normal power levels is fine. Go big HP and a return system imo is the only way to go. I have a separate fuel pressure reg up in the bay on the passenger firewall as its best to have it close to the fuel rails for decent power. Opinions of fuel systems vary a lot, just depends a bit on preference, lots of ways to sk…[Read more]

Extreme Auto done and dusted. I think the car looked mint. Have to say this car show caper is all a bit new, and if I am honest to me at least, a bit boring. Prob should have got off my ass and printed some info about the car, as when I was talking to people it became obvious unless you have followed the build it isn’t really obvious the am…[Read more]

Yea I just used the swivel housing as it meant on mine I could use a standard 90-degree elbow piece of hose. Rad hoses seem a little all over the place, I think as there are so many combinations of radiators etc. Guys like Cav and Heron etc are doing theirs now, so they might be better to ask as their info is more current.

Hi mate. imo the Tuff mounts full kit is the way to go. Pacemaker headers are far and away the best for clearance and make good numbers anyway. The Tuff mount kit just works as all of it is designed to work together and Jason the owner of Muscle Garage/Tuff Mounts is very easy to deal with and helpful if you strike a problem.

Anyone in Adelaide going to the Extreme Auto Expo at Wayville showgrounds this weekend. The Senator will be displayed as part of the Commodores and Classic Holden Enthusiasts car club inside. I’m planning to be there Saturday avo, if you come along, say g’day.
