Could you run a stretch belt?

Some newer cars run a Elastic/Stretch belt, no tensioner on them. There is a tool to install them but may be an option if one exists. If you know what size you need I can have a look but not sure if I have seen a 6PK belt in stretch design only 5PK from memory. But I could be wrong.

Love the look of it mate, nice work. I agree with the others, keep the Aussie V8 in it. Especially the 253, they are a great motor and always get told that they gave the 308’s a run for their money too. My dad has a HQ but just a 6cyl, so I have a soft spot for them.

Love the look of a Stato dash. One thing I wouldn’t mind doing one day. They look so much better than the Commodore one.

Replaced my dads VE with a Century standard replacement and hasn’t missed a beat. But most batteries these days are good, only thing different may be CCA and warranty periods.

Nice VX mate. Not a fan of the scoop but the rest of the car looks good.

Spare Parts Sales/2IC at Burson. Wanted to be a Mechanic or Electrician when I was at school. Pretty happy where I have landed though. Wasn’t one to get good grades in school, although Tech studies was always one subject I did well in.

One can only hope. Although they state that the next Commodore will be FWD, but nothing has been confirmed.

The ULX stuff is the best stuff for E85, doesn’t go milky like others do. My mate uses it in his drift car and when it gets moved in and out the workshop everyday it doesn’t go milky like others have.

I have seen redline gear oil used in a RB25 gearbox (light weight shockproof) and when pulled a part it stuck to everything inside it. It has even made them better shifting. So the redline gear is pretty good just pricey. Royal Purple is also good but never used it.

Nice Calais, even has the factory alloys too. They will come up great with a polish.

Looks good for a daily/work hack. The blower will be a nice addition.
