Thank you, I haven’t ever seen an AWB set up in person. Great to be able to follow along but also understand it all too.

Thought I would bring the old girl into work, which is about a 45 minute drive. Ran like a dream even in the heavy traffic. Only downside was it was full-on sunshine when I left home, and then it turned a little foggy/misty. Eng temps rock-solid, oil pressure great bla bla, zero issues. Happy days!!

And I was wrong…. Lordy lordy, turns out the MX5 (Turbos) and LV2(304) had 15″ rims and a different hubcap. The plus side is I think they look really nice, the downside is they have the Turbo premium on them which makes them more sought after than a barn find Ferrari. So back to the drawing board and scouting around to see if I can build up a…[Read more]

Found another nice piece of the puzzle, looks like I have scored a nice set of correct 1987 VL Berlina hubcaps. The guy may also have the correct radio, although I am a little scared at what price he may want for it given they seem to be as scarce as rocking horse shit, and as sort after as successful outcome from Brexit.

Will try to get some on the weekend. Tbh no I didn’t think to actually see what the intake temps were before. I can say that before after a while if I lifted the bonnet it was hot as hell under there. It’s way better now, but I appreciate that not a very scientific measurement unit

I think it is MX Grey and no reason at all. I believe it has to be a paint with some additive that makes it a little flexible so it doesn’t flake off. Worse case in a couple of years or whatever you do it again.

I reckon that would look way better if you made up some hardlines out of tube down to the bottom left of the engine and coat them black. Then just the flexible hoses across to the cooler with 90 degree fittings.

I really enjoyed my self at HbH. So whilst there I decided to finally get off my butt and formally join the Commodores and Classic Holden Enthusiasts (CACHE) car club. I would like to start doing some club cruises, meeting, etc, and they seem like a genuinely nice group of fellow enthusiasts. Turns out they are doing a display of some club cars at…[Read more]
