Did a bit of painting this afternoon, in the front guards and lower half of the chassis in the engine bay.

Had a couple minutes to spare, so threw in the Rod Shop front end. 3 bolts. Tight fit, with clearance all round and no cutting.

Good stuff. Hanging to see how this turns out. Have you upgraded te turbo also?

Going twin 63mm billet wheel Borg Warner turbos. From the SXE range. So the best they offer and I think it’s currently the best 63mm off the shelf turbo available.

Roll cage and the rest of the fabrication stuff has been postponed till March because of the car ahead of me booking in more work.

So in the mean time, I’ll get the bay cleaned up and sprayed. Then will sort the racepak dash out. Might order the turbos soon as well.

Not much to report. Pulled the driveline out except for the diff. Need to be able to roll it.

Cleaning up inside the front arches and the lower side of the chassis rail at the front, to paint it that black underbody paint.

Above the chassis rail/engine bay will get cleaned up and painted a standard gloss black.

I’ll be having 450 walbro feeding a surge with twin 450’s to the motor.

they are the e85 ones yeah?

thats what I used for the tank pickup.

I killed (burnt out) a Holley billet pump as a surge. The way I had it explained to me was they are made for fuel injection as the main pump i.e. high pressure/flow. Really with a surge pump its more a carby style application, it just sits there quietly ticking over making sure the 3L surge is topped up and the overflows back into the main tank. Like everything that’s not to say others haven’t used them successfully, that’s just my experience. I run two small Pierburg (German) pumps side by side for the surge, they are OE equipment on alot of German cars and fully E85 compatible and pretty cheap off eBay. If you have a little $$ consider the Bain aluminium fuel tank like I have, in built 3L surge, 80L capacity, pumps all integrated on the front of the tank, leaves your boot totally free for the esky full of beer

I had the Holley going from the surge to the motor. The Holley dominator pump is two pumps built into one. One of the pumps can be turned off when cruising. Not sure if thats an aftermarket controller thing, or aftermarket ecu feature.

Ring Camtech about cam advice. I got mine from there a little while ago. More and more people are recommending them now as well.

The Holley Dominator pump will be good for the surge tank. I think the ‘1400’ size is the one you’d need.

Also the Walbro e85 intank pump. Can’t remember the name, but if you google that, it’ll show up.

I had those two pumps as my setup. Ran e85 @ around 480rwkw.

Found a solution :) G Force sell a CV upgrade kit for my driveshafts, using stronger Porsche units. Then I’ll just get my original shafts machined down and I’ll be good to go! Gary when you measured up for driveshafts, did you do it once the subframe was back in the car, or before you installed it?

I’ve found with the standard shafts, the shafts break or the splines strip. Never had a problem with the cv joint.

    That’s a huge winch!

I’ve got a boat winch on my trailer and an electric one. The boat winch has 3 speeds/difficulties and has no problems winching on 2000kg.

My car did the same thing once. I had a pin hole in one of the leads. Would only know it had a problem when under boost. Putting around like normal and you wouldn’t even know.

T button will go on steering wheel. The TCI IMO is much better then the b&m. I love it. My mates with b&m wish they spent a bit more lol the precision ones are next level lol

Whats different on the tci one?

Good shifter. I had the b&m version. Your missing a transbrake button though.

Putting a Precision Performance Products – Kwik Shift II shifter in the HK.

Found more rust in the drivers side and a pin hole in the passenger. Probably have to replace the whole floor now.
