Wow this will be epic, so you are keeping the colour? The joys of owning a car thats had every guy have a bad attempt at fixing the body. 20 mm of bog aint bad compared to some i have seen.

Colour will be changed. I have a colour combo in mind. Just need to work some photoshop magic first to see if it’ll work.

Hopefully buying a welder next week to start some repairs on the doors.

If anyone has any opinions on a good mig welder for home use. Let me know.

Ive been looking at the unimig viper 182.

New chromoly diff housing. Same as this but with a street full floater kit. Also haven’t got the braces on yet.

Also order my shifter. A long wait for it. But definitely worth it. Same as the one pictured

Looks very neat, any plans to paint underneath black?

I was going to suggest the same thing sands but wasn’t sure as its a preference thing. On mine I just used that spray can texture coat, easy as anything to apply and made it look schmick as, easy to touch up too. But then no one actually really sees the underside.

could you please write here or PM me what you used? Also how much you needed.

    Thanks.

Cava. I am painting it. Some of the doors under the paint was really bad. It had been repaired previously. But it literally had about 20mm of bog in some spots. I want to do the rust repair myself. Something I can do to keep myself busy. Otherwise I’ll be playing battlefield 1 too much haha.

With my old ls1, I put up to 18 psi through it. Never had a problem. I’m looking at up to 25 psi with this build. I currently have arp head studs in it. But I’m going to upgrade them to either the top tier arp studs or go to a bigger diameter stud.

I’ll also be doing something similar to  o-ringing the block. I think a copper o-ring will be used.

Ive been told that 1300hp day in day out on methanol would be achievable. But we’all see.

I need to run 8.50s to be competitive. That’s around 160mph for the weight I’m hoping to get the car to.

Hopefully that can be done with less power. Then turn it up to 25psi to try for something closer to a 7.

Not really much to see from the pics. Parts have finally started to come in. So the cage and rear end can now be started.

Think ls1 leads are too short for the ls2 type coils.

Yep. Biggest twin setup I can run in the class.

Comparable to the Garrett gtx35. Newer and slightly bigger rear wheel though.

Few set backs with the gazzard rear end stuff. But hopefully get it all soon.

In the mean time I’ve purchased

2x Borg Warner 63mm S300SXE billet wheel turbos

    2x Tial BOVs

    Aeromotive belt drive fuel pump

    Aeromotive fuel regulator to suit

Saw you also purchased a radiator from south coast radiators.

Same place I’ll get mine done. I only live up the road as well. They seem to be doing a lot of high profile burnout cars these days. So must be alright.

Definitely a fake. “Unbranded” no markings on the bov in the pictures. Price…

when you do get it on. Test it for leaks. Mcmtv2 YouTube channel has a good way to test them.

All those fees and your stillsaving a fortune. Good job Aussies performance shops 👍

Makes you wonder how some of them stay afloat. When I bought my 9″ 35 spline diff centre section. There was a $600 price difference from competition engines to VPW. VPW being more expensive. Thats for the same item.

I think the code only applied to Australian eBay items. Withthe currency conversion + tax + freight is it much cheaper from us?

works out to be $1200aud each vs $2000 each from here.

Well eBay had a 15% off sale. So I brought some goodies. Ice tank Stainless Cable ties 3/16 brake line clips lead insulators

couldnt figure out that sale. I wanted to buy my turbos and take advantage of $300 off. Code wouldn’t work. Rang eBay, they told me the code didn’t apply to car parts. Yet I received 3 emails from separate performance parts stores saying to use the code. Fking annoying.

So a slight change in direction with the rear end of this. I bought some Calvert and Caltracs gear to go with the diff. But found that it needs a little more effort to get it all to fit.

I decided to purchase a full setup from the leaf spring kings. The Gazzard Brothers.

    Hopefully get it next week.

Wilwoods are on. I’m upset i had to run an 8mm spacer to move the caliper in more.

Same problem I had mate. I’m hoping to get away with grinding a bit off the caliper though. I think my v-series are 2.25″ bs.

Otherwise I have a 8mm spacers laying around also. Maybe 4mm somewhere.

Also so you should run longer studs. That looks like Andra would not approve.
