ASR Ls baffle kit and windage tray – $335.50
I also asked for an estimate on a custom built race baffled front sump ls1 pan. Their reply was .. Our Comp pan for Commodore for e.g. is $1155
Looking at their gallery on their website they have photos of a Buick/ecotec V6 street comp pan that I would say would be pretty spot on sump shape wise for…[Read more]

The more and more I looked at your photos I realized that’s the S chassis LS swap sump your running Gary. Quite a nice bit of kit but obviously doesn’t fit without modding the k frame.
Ive heard that about the VY sumps but good luck trying to find one unless someone’s parting out an engine. They all sell them as VT-VZ sump and they have no i…[Read more]

I’ve been talking with a guy on Facebook that makes modified radius rods and knuckles.
He was saying that he’s working on a fully adjustable heavy duty front suspension kit for Commodores.

Yeah I’ve seen the one you use, that’s why I looked at canton. Which sump exactly is yours Gary? The s chassis conversion one looks like it might fit without modifying the k-frame hopefully.
Thinking about it I’m surprised someone hasn’t designed a sump for the vb-vs LS conversion. It has become such a popular swap and it would solve one of…[Read more]

Just did some quick measurements while the car was still on the ground. Looks like the canton sump might just fit, Sikky might be a better fit from what I’ve seen of both. Will get the car up on stand to get some proper measurements this week.
a dummy block and k-frame would be handy right about now hahaha

My reasoning is you get the least steering lock with modified knuckles with vs lcas because of the lock stops. Apart from that I’m not sure, maybe because the later model arms are cheaper?

A guy on the VG-VS holden utes facebook page has run this setup before and i will be going down this path soon. Will be running vt-vz lcas, knuckles and hubs with adjustable radius rods. Will put up pictures once i get around to doing it.

Only just got the diff rebuilt with 3.89 gears and a 4WD systems lokka. Rebuilt by Torq4x4 who do quite a bit of work with lokkas and did a fantastic job considering the button clutch manual it is.
only thing im having trouble with is she axle tramps really bad in a straight line, although thanks to old posts by Luke_VN i think i might have…[Read more]

This was my vs ute I used to drive around before I acquired my HSV Maloo R8. She originally had a roller cam 5L & Getrag 290 in her and was a somewhat Maloo mockup. I was going to sell her but injured myself at one of the worlds stops for the cable Wakeboarding tour and decided to take a year off to heal properly and came up with a plan to p…[Read more]
