Hey guys,
wondering if someone has tried this already or if anyone knows some measurements would be helpful.
So ive run into a problem with my steering setup. Because I’m running later model vx-vz front suspension components with modified knuckles and still running the vs steering rack I’m not getting the max amount of lock I should and…[Read more]

Not sure if anyone has seen it yet. Quite an amazing article about how much abuse and power a cast iron LS can handle. I just bring this article up these days whenever anyone starts cracking on about bang for buck or 1000hp stock bottom ends.

So I spoke to Peter the owner of Textralia today. Nice bloke, very easy to work with and very understandable. Explained what was going on and he is more than happy for me to send the disk back with all the parts that failed and he’s going to send me out a brand new unsprung clutch disk to replace my broken one.
before I purchased the clutch o…[Read more]

So I had my z-grip clutch let go the other day after only 18 months of duty. It seems the rivets holding the sprung centre to the clutch plate have let go. The flywheel, pressure plate and clutch pads are all in perfect condition. It was working absolutely perfectly without any dramas at all and showing no signs of giving up the ghost and th…[Read more]

She went back on the road January 2015. There is a slight difference between the VT/VX and VY/VZ sump. Improved have had a baffle for the VY/VZ sump for a while but it wouldnt fit a VT/VX sump, it was only recently that they released a baffle for the VT/VX sump.

Yeah we had a couple of good races. The VN sounds so tough!! I still rate the lokka, does the job i need it to do perfectly. Backlash can be noticable at times but only in tight carparks. Im the sort of person that will deal with most things if it meets a purpose, but if you’re keen you can take her for a test drive to test the lokk…[Read more]

I was meaning to update this just before and now since Matsuri finished but ive been lazy.
Finished off my Prep for Matsuri on the afternoon of Sign-in.
Picked up my tyre supply
Stripped down the front suspension
The old LCAs, knuckles and hubs
K-frame out for some modding and a clean
New modified VZ knuckles
Sump off, ASR…[Read more]

It never axle tramped until I put the Lokka in it and it only tramps in a straight line, never sideways. But it doesn’t always axle tramp in a straight line, I think it’s dependent on wheel speed or how aggressive the initiation is. And I’m not to sure but I don’t think I remember it tramping from a standstill, only when rolling first.

I thought id throw this up hear instead of my build thread.
I had my diff fully rebuilt and a 4wd systems mechanical lokka installed around 6 months ago. In that time ive had some serious axle tramp issues, especially bad in the wet. Last month i crawled under the rear end for a regular inspection and found that i had diff oil leaking from t…[Read more]

Wasn’t really sure where to put this but I came across it on a Facebook sales page. I’ve never seen or heard of anything like this before. Thought a few people on here might be quite interested in it.
off the Logan cars swap and sale page if anyone wants a closer look.

All good Gary I think it’s just the way the first comment read that annoyed me as I’ve seen a few people allude to the same thing. Both times it was almost certain that Jamie would not have won if he followed orders so to say he’s finding a way to lose isn’t fair… Both times he was trying his hardest to win! That was probably my wh…[Read more]

Sorry Gary but I don’t see where in my post I was getting worked up?? And I wasn’t talking specifically about racing, I was just trying to give you a perspective of what it’s like at the top level, it’s completely different to any other level of competition.
ive competed at the top level for over 10 years now and I’ve seen and been in these…[Read more]

Have you competed at a Professional level in the biggest event for that activity? I have and your mind is racing and you don’t settle for 2nd, that’s why Jamie is where he is. Sometimes it doesn’t pull off the way you’d like and youre gutted but you know you gave it your all!
Just to look at it from Jamie’s perspective… Where do you think b…[Read more]
