Got my car back Friday with the new motor, gearbox, exhaust, radiator, tailshaft, basically everything, got started on seapping all my interior over to the wh leather that I brought a while ago. Managed to knock it out over the weekend, very happy with the result, ended up changing the rails and frames because the wh where full electric but I wanted the simpler manual ones, will be going on the dyno soon so see what she’ll make.

Yeh if I end up sticking with the SS front I’ll do the grills black, but I was tossing up on going to a v2 Monaro front, whole car will get a quick blow over front has its fair share of stone chips and clear is coming off the front bar.

2pac mate, basically just try keep the area as clean as you can, helps to wet the floor down a bit, and obviously do it on a day where it’s not stinking hot or too cold, this was painted in winter I had heat lamps and a few headaches but it was all a great learning experience. Having some good gear helps too as well as good advice which I had a lot of from friends who are trade qualified.

Cheers mate, I had the colour aside for a previous project that I lost interest in so I decided to hook in and paint the ute, overall I’m happy with it, it’s not showroom but it was just done in the garage and I’m not a professional, people always freak when I load it up with rubbish or parts because it looks nice, but it’s just my work hack.
