I’m a bit torn as to Wether or not the inline fuel pump I have will do the job of lifting fuel from the tank but other than that I’m almost ready to start wiring and get her kicking.
I still need a trans cooler that is small enough to fit yet big enough to do the job but that and fuel is it now.
I’m halfway between stressed for time and excited as all hell ha

Posts: 167Had a mate come and do final measuring on a new shifter cable and it turns out he can adjust my power steering line so should be right to say those two items can be crossed off the list.

Posts: 167I feel I accomplished stuff today.
Removed the cut power steering pipe from the v6, and bent up the new one ready to be measured and adapted to suit the vans rack.
Got the fan done, meaning the cooling system is now ready to be filled.
Mounted the fuel pump but now need to get some hose to plumb it in.
Got started on the mounting of the transmission shifter, it’s welded in place but needs to be boxed in to seal the engine bay.
Items left on the list.
#1
Fuel pump/plumbing.
#2
Transmission cooler/plumbing.
#3
Power steering hose made/plumbed
#4
Pcm vats removal.
#5
Shifter cable(being made atm)
#6
Wiring. (last once everything is mounted/plumbed up. +new plugs

Posts: 167Yeh I’ve been getting told I was overcharged and I suspect I was but it’s done, and it’s in.
So no backing up now lol.
Got a few things done over past couple days, top hose made, finished the bottom hose, started on the power steering feed line, mounted tailshaft, few other bits n bobs.
Left to do:
Powersteering pressure line+return.
Fuel lines/Pump/filter.
Mount a thermo fan to the shroud.
Attach a trans cooler.
Get pcm deVATS’d and get the wiring done.
Purchase a battery.

Posts: 167have been thinking about the stereo that will go back into this. and id like to aim at the 145db arena. so ill need to have a check on what fits where with the dash in place and then i might see about designing some new door pods.
otherwise, plans for this week are like this,
Tailshaft purchase/install
Fuel pump/lines/filter
Thermofan install+ power steering low pressure lines
Radiator top hose completionfingers crossed for decent weather so i can make some progress. i might even look at the concept of clearing out some of the removed crap from in the back where ive just dumped everything that has come out so far….

I’ve been told by numerous people that it lawfully needs to be enclosed so all my “hard work” will be hidden.
Thinking along the lines of ply board panels, covered in a closed cell foam and then black vinyl upper and black marine carpet lower. and I will end up making a centre console once I get a shifter

Posts: 167I’m thinking about trimming down the big rectangle over the cluster. I’ve got some ideas for how to make it look alot more complete, but that’s another day.

Posts: 167I like your pic, I reckon I’ll just do a linked up console.
I do also think I have to panel it in too for safety n such so I reckon I’ll end up covering the whole thing in black marine carpet.

Posts: 167So you reckon it needs a centre console type layout? I can’t decide and I kinda need to soon ha

Posts: 167I’m tending to agree but I think it will look out of place if I keep with the tube frame.
