I had a quick go at it this arv.
Got under it and linked up the trans cooler lines until I get a decent cooler for it. That way it’s complete and will no piss it’s fluid everywhere.
Also piped up the fuel pump, it’s pressurising and flowing well. Just need to deal with the fuel return now and it’s done.
Planning on starting the wiring…[Read more]

So I bought a battery yesterday.
This afternoon I decided to actually assess the fuel situation and see if my inline pump would draw fuel from the tank.
And it does!
Means no need to remove the tank to fit and intank Pump

Picked up an intank Pump.
Can anyone see a problem with this before I start setup? Specifically the prefilter. It fits snug, and I’d attempt to make it sit on the the bottom of the tank with about 3-4mm to draw from.

The reason I’m just gonna fit intank Pump is the lack of consistency in faith of the external pump being able to draw via the pre existing lines on the tank. Some say it will be fine and others say it won’t.
Based on imagery of the efi E2200 it has a pump cradle that unbolts from the top of the tank. Once I establish this, that will determine…[Read more]

A mate gave me an intank Pump today so I’ll get to pulling out the old tank and see what I can do with it.
also borrowing a flaring tool so I can make some new tails for the transmission to run a cooler on.
Planning to purchase a new battery this week as well, so once my pcm arrives along with a workshop manual, I should be able to get her all…[Read more]

Thanks guys.
I’m a bit torn as to Wether or not the inline fuel pump I have will do the job of lifting fuel from the tank but other than that I’m almost ready to start wiring and get her kicking.
I still need a trans cooler that is small enough to fit yet big enough to do the job but that and fuel is it now.
I’m halfway between stressed for…[Read more]

Plumbed up the return line for the power steering this evening. And then filled the reservoir. Go me.

Had a mate come and do final measuring on a new shifter cable and it turns out he can adjust my power steering line so should be right to say those two items can be crossed off the list.

I feel I accomplished stuff today.
Removed the cut power steering pipe from the v6, and bent up the new one ready to be measured and adapted to suit the vans rack.
Got the fan done, meaning the cooling system is now ready to be filled.
Mounted the fuel pump but now need to get some hose to plumb it in.
Got started on the mounting of…[Read more]

Yeh I’ve been getting told I was overcharged and I suspect I was but it’s done, and it’s in.
So no backing up now lol.
Got a few things done over past couple days, top hose made, finished the bottom hose, started on the power steering feed line, mounted tailshaft, few other bits n bobs.
Left to do:
Powersteering pressure line+return.
Fuel…[Read more]

Thankyou sir.
I’ve been told by numerous people that it lawfully needs to be enclosed so all my “hard work” will be hidden.
Thinking along the lines of ply board panels, covered in a closed cell foam and then black vinyl upper and black marine carpet lower. and I will end up making a centre console once I get a shifter
