0-100 at about 9 seconds. I figure that’s pretty decent for an 1850kg van.
. Read the description.
Injectors arrived today. And I ordered the ALDL USB interface for tuning also.
And started working on the dash today.
Tomorrow is to pull drivers side header off and fix up the weld at number 6 port as it’s still t…[Read more]

Yeh nothing was mentioned about brakes so since van is rated to carry an extra tonne perhaps the brakes are considered satisfactory.
Also to note, today I purchased a set of L67 injectors and the ALDL interface for tuning. Lookout! Lol

Spoken to the engineer and he’s happy to pass it with a pair of turbos on it as long as it passes emissions.
L67 tune/injectors + L36(normal compression) +8psi twin turbo +4.44:1 diff should be quite entertaining to drive.

the motor itself hits nothing, but youre right, the pipes are “just” resting on the chassis rails which makes for some nasty vibrations. ive got tiny bit more clearancing to do before its freed up completely. (the back of my axe makes a good beating tool)
carpet in the air box, was to tame the induction hiss from the filter. the rest of it…[Read more]

update.
speedo/tacho/temp/fuel gauges all work now.
speedo is out, but works.
temp gauge is spot on, and the fan on all the time is keeping it right down low on the gauge so pretty sure i can switch it over to PCM control.
fuel gauge is waiting on a resistor to make it show me true empty.
tacho is the only one working proper.
new…[Read more]

Yes thankyou it was such a relief to hear it fire up.
I haven’t been able to shift gears yet so no driving just yet.
I’m hoping that happens tomorrow

I then had a problem.
After some weight reduction I end up with mm to spare.
And now a cable has become attached somehow

Since I’m going to be carpeting everything I figured I’d start in the airbox as I had an offcut pretty much the right size.
First dynamat type insulation
Carpet cut and laid
And the filter where it’s likely to sit plus a shroud later on.
It might not look like much at the moment but I do want to make it somewhat nice inside.
I know I…[Read more]

Pcm is on its way and is due either Friday or early next week.

Today I scrounged up some enthusiasm and plugged my dash cluster into the wiring harness. Won’t know if it’s correct until I get the pcm back this week sometime.
Can already see my fuel gauge is showing full when I know it’s not even half full. So there’s an issue there.
Otherwise, Illumination works, indicating works, high beam light…[Read more]

Today’s progress. Electricals
Not pretty yet but we had it winding over with the key so that’s a step in the right direction.
