Thank you sir.
Next task is to wire it up, including the led alternator light which I believe I have to get fancy with some resistors to make that work properly.
after that is doors/speakers and stereo. And then I can tidy up the carpet/flooring and center console trimming and such.
Still a bit to go yet but she’s closer now than she…[Read more]

Hi crew. I’ve been away for a while, obviously.
I bought a house, we moved in back in February and it’s been a while getting settled in.I ended up pulling the steel frame dash out and have begun working towards getting it together properly.
Ordered a dash from a local wrecker and they sent me an 01 model which physically fitted but it was so…[Read more]

That sucks to hear about the fire, happened in my old vr when the power steering pump blew it’s seal. Lit up all over the headers.
Looks mad with the bolt on cowl. Im a big fan of bolt on bits looking like they’re bolted on
I always wanted to put slr flares on my vr and go extra fat.

Yeah ended up just carpeting the whole thing. That said, I like the idea of using stainless hardware, one day I may change out because the yellow wood screws aren’t hugely attractive
Thanks for checking her out, certainly had some side steps throughout the build lol

Ha thankyou, audio has been a hobby/interest since I was about 12 when I got my first little stereo.
Being through speakers after speakers and then music production and also reproduction, DJing and the rest, I know what I wanna hear. Having plenty of experience playing with audio simulation software helps too. Testing, building, evaluating a…[Read more]

That’s definitely commitment right there.
This is still a compromise ultimately, as if I was dedicated to spl I’d set it up as a wall and properly seal it off, I’d run as many 15″ as I could feasibly fit and it would be ridiculous haha

i do very much plan to reinforce it this go round. along with filling all the unused cavities with expanda foam.
eventually id like the whole back area to be lined with plywood essentially like a big speaker box. and if i didnt use it for other…[Read more]

Ordered four 10wxv2 JL Audio subs. Should get me into the 145dB area.
And made progress on my dash, and even put the radio back in.
