Hi all well had a play last weekend found a damaged Ba falcon bonnet cut the bracing out of it then trimmed the bulge out from the damaged parts , zinced primed the VB bonnet and guards fitted them with a couple bolts they fit 120% better than the reproduction panels

cut the hole in the bonnet for blower then sat the BA bulge on looks like it will work

Gotya, just never seen anyone do the retrograde, I prefer the VB bits, when the VH came out it was a bit “cheap” and plasticy.. not to mention it still had the VB stylelines under the wrap around lights..

I had this plan from the start if the green Vb was good enough I would have kept it but was not meant to be  I have kept a lot of the good stuff from the VB and sourced other old bits, not a lot of people will know the difference from VH-VB  specially with all the rear and front chrome

    I’m confused, why VB panels?

I want the VB front end I collected  all the chrome parts when I had the green VB , also I like the gille flutes in the VB bonnet not the plastic one in VH

As for the actuator , the solenoid is controlled by the ecu  so in factory car it can control , speed , in reverse gear , abuse, some temperature issues , certain revs in first gear there is more can not remember

so remove the solenoid but keep the other part and hook it up to vacuum -boost  then will just work as a bypass valve without ecu interfering

Hey all been a while just don’t wont to start anything big until workshop is done, so first I have removed the solenoid for the bypass valve where and what computer I am going to use I do not need it ,

also sold the VH front end guards bonnet lights etc and the VB panels I have they fitted like shit reproduction panels and sourced some factory VB guards and bonnet had the striped and cleaned coated for now will etch in a couple weeks  pictures for the ones that like pictures
