The rest of the piston should pull out, I believe there’s an upgrade one available, I’d clean the shrapnel out install the new parts and give it a crack, filter screen should have caught the bulk of it. One of these>> https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Holden-Trimatic-V8-Billet-Twin-Ring-Servo-Piston/161786024456?hash=item25ab32d208:g:1cYAAOxyuOtRZn61:rk:1:pf:0

Thanks Ian I assume it does not mater 6 cylinder not a v8 also do I have to take the plate off to get snap ring out

    I appreciate your help

Drop the pan, undo the 4 bolts from the round cover, if it hasn’t gouged up the case it’s a cheap repair.

Hi Ian , removed the pan and cover today and all the bits came out have added photos , can this be repaired in the car or is it trans out  also would have bits gone through the trans , cheers Frazer

I’ve found a set of King springs and Monroe GT shocks on eBay for $650, any height I want. I think some coil overs need some mods to fit, or you can buy ones ready to bolt straight in, but they’re well over a grand.

yip I paid 1500 for mine I sent my struts to them and it all came back welded and together with crack tested and welding cert . the rear is just bolt in let me know and I can post pictures up

A true coil over for the rear of a Commodore that’s bolt in? Tell me more

well not so much as a coil over but has height adjustability xyz do them Gary has the ones for the vr

30 way damper on shocks and the coil support bolts to bottom arm where original spring sits

Hey all a little parts update and exhaust fix on the six so the six had a leak under the inlet manifold so pulled it all off  and you can see in photos how restricted the exhaust is so I changed it so it can breathe better maybe get an extra 1 hp and save some gas as it’s 2.41 a litre here , and the parts are for the gear box tr6060 the rear case conversion I can run both electronic and mechanical speedo also have a 31 spline yoke which I prefer than having a slip joint in the drive shaft
