Thanks Cava
I have the ls1 sump what did you use for the windage tray and what fuel rails did you use (are they connect to factory injectors )

Posts: 775Mine, of course, is not first gen but pretty much, simply put, power makes heat, so if you are going to make a lot of power, you are going to need a better radiator to cope with it. Throw that in with a physically smaller engine bay area and potentially slow cruising, or burnouts etc with no air movement the heat issue compounds. Given all the time and expense you have put into everything else, imo spending a bit extra on a good quality radiator like a PWR or similar is relatively cheap insurance to protect the engine. Just my 2c worth.
I second that , it is what some people do spend on big motor power etc but for get about small things cooling brakes, diff drive shaft axles things that will break or not work ,,,,2c,,,,

Posts: 775Cant remember, are you planning on modifying the K frame, the sump, or seeing it doesn’t need it? In my case I modified the K frame, but if I did it again I would have taken the corners off the back off the sump and had them tig welded up so the K Frame stays original. I know with Cavs he has clearance but every other time I have seen something needs to be modified to give enough room.
Hi Gary I am making my own mounts so will see how it fits , are you running a different baffle and will I need to change the windage tray, hopefully have the motor in two weeks

Posts: 775These have apparently become popular in the vintage car scene, but can’t see it being legal for road use though, I would have thought an engineer is going to balk at signing off a modified steering column? The electrically driven pump one though I have seen a bit but using an Astra pump. At least then you can mount the pump anywhere, like up under the guard.
you have power steering right ??? if so you have room for the headers tight but room

Posts: 775Hi all I have stumbled on to this Epas electric power assisted steering so attached to column no power steering pump no lines no electric fluid pump modification to column are required, not cheap but not super expensive either starting at $1700 also uses a factory manual rack
what’s your thoughts
