Hey Bud lsa 3 and ls1 filters have different thread and size , ls1 sump ls1 filter Good progress mate

Im pretty sure I have the oil filter that come with my crate motor on my Ls1 sump. With everything so interchangeable between the LS variants, id be shocked if it was different.

Hey Cava I just did this and the crate lsa-3 filter did not fit the vy ls1 sump , maybe if you change the threaded part in the sump may work

That’s so true isn’t it. Tools are ridiculously cheap. That noid set was $30. “he who dies with the most tools wins” ha ha

That’s funny Gary as on Friday at work I was thinking how much gear I have between the building and mechanic stuff it’s a bucket load and more to come, who doesn’t like a new tool

Did yours have the spring one in? Nice clean work. Are you not getting this engineered?

Hey Cava yes had the spring one I’m Pretty sure that all lsa come from the factory that way in the 1st photo is the spring one and second photo is solid , in NZ we have to get our cars certified so similar to engineered but we don’t have the emission’s test like you have over there

I must say the factory one is quite loose ( I think because of the spring needs movement ) but the solid one is pretty tight definitely needs lobe to get on
