Hey Cava it was the engineer that suggested the spacers in the first place I am not a fan of them either , that’s why I am going to give it another crack with out spacers how much did your one sit up above have you got a photo across the guards of it

going to have another crack at this and remove the sump and see how it sits and what I can do to modify the sump without spacers

I hear you cava but the lot is getting modified or changed also building my own headers so the nightmare will be mine if I go this way

What Ian said , probably gives me more room for the big gearbox in the tunnel  it’s not small

the Lca are still about 50mm down lower than the x member so got a lot to play with

milling the top is about 5mm off fuck all looked at that the hats are not cheap anymore as they have to come from the state

Yip I have the arms to adjust the pinion angle

so had a go at a temporary  spacers wanted to see if it worked first, so it does fit still sticks up 20mm but still needs to go back ,would still need to cut sump , I can see why others use a manual rack

yes they are legal here in nz as engineer/certifier suggested them just got to be made right.

yes and no I would have to prove it was made right and be equivalent or better than factory

Cheers Guys but is there any issues using the spacers that you know of

Hey all I have done some home work and modifying the cross member is out of the question so now looking at spacers ( I know I said I wouldn’t but ah )  so can any tell me pros and cons if any Castlemaine have a kit that would fit it under the bonnet (Thoughts)
