I’m honestly not sure how much was taken off, I was just told it was decked to square. Had a local engineering bloke have a look today and said to put longer bolts and see where they sit in the bolt holes. Then can sit if maching the manifold will help/fix the issue. Probably not a bad idea calling come and seeing what they recommend, as I did start off with a come single plane but changed to the Harrop recently
September 8, 2016 at 7:20 am #19492I’ve had the manifold torqued down with gaskets, I can get spacers made thats not a problem. Biggest worry was with the bosses not quite lining up. But as I’ve said I’m not sure how perfectly they do need to line up
September 7, 2016 at 9:58 pm #19490It was most likely me, I’ve been stuck for the last 3 or so months. Its stopping me from making any progress and is quite frustrating really. I’m not the only one running come heads and Harrop manifold surely. I’ve had recommendations of making spacers up and die grinding the bosses to suit, really don’t want to be doing that. Just seems odd bolt holes line up 🤔

Far bit of a gap and injector bosses don’t really line up that great. All bolt holes lined up so hopefully not a lot of work to get that sorted. Was making good progress and trying to get the car ready for red centrenats 2 in September.

March 28, 2016 at 12:03 pm #15279Yea that’s exactly right, the t5 held up with the old combo with a short shifter and brass button clutch. Mind you that was only making 304hp.
March 27, 2016 at 6:53 pm #15260Not overly happy with it and found a new asr sump for a good price aswell.
From what I’ve read the t5 should be fine as long as I don’t kick the clutch in 3rd and give it a hard time. Gone away from chasing massive power with the car and will be happy just to cruise it. Just a matter of seeing how it goes I guess. 3:9s are going in aswell
March 27, 2016 at 5:37 pm #15257Cheers man happy with the way it’s turning out, actually have an asr sump on the way for it.
As for the t5, it should be able to handle the power. If it does end up failing I’ll get an auto built for it.
March 26, 2016 at 2:43 pm #15232They do look good on an engine stand that’s for sure, be a lot better when it’s finished haha
Didnt end up dropping the vt motor in, just focusing on finishing the stroker. So it’s just sitting on a stand in the shed waiting to find a new home.

November 13, 2015 at 10:46 pm #11263What would the pricing be for one of these? If you don’t mind me asking
November 7, 2015 at 12:04 am #10991Did the m80 bolt straight in? Want to put 3:7s in my clubby
October 25, 2015 at 10:04 pm #10616Ah ok no worries mate cheers, don’t know why the ones in mine were swapped.
October 25, 2015 at 8:11 pm #10601Yea genuine clubby but when I got it, it had a “stroker” in it with a vk block. Cheers for the info I’ll just have to see what wiring it’s got.
October 25, 2015 at 5:39 pm #10579Cheers mate so pretty much change the dizzy and from what I’ve gathered wire in some knock sensors?
October 25, 2015 at 2:12 pm #10566Picking up a vt ss wreck soon and was thinking of putting the vt motor in, until my motor is complete. Will I be able to run the motor with my vs computer? Or will I have to use the one out of the vt?
