Been doing a fair bit of bush work lately so progress has been limited, throttlebody and spacer is on. And finally got around to plumbing up the fuel rails. Waiting on radiator to be delivered, then I can mount my trans cooler and start fitting the astra power steering pump. Must say after 5 years it’s good to finally see some progress

Little bit of progress on the shitter, now resides in a shed so i can actually work on it. Fixed the coolant crossover lines, now has a fully manulised th400 held in by tuff mounts crossmember and auto mount, 8” 4500rpm tce converter, b&m stealth ratchet shifter, got rid of the fast 1375cfm throttle body, converting to an astra power steering pump, relocating battery to the boot and fuse box into the glovebox. Also started running the fuel lines, waiting on throttle body and spacer to come so i can make up a bracket to run the fuel reg at the front of the motor rather then the back. Still a long way to go but slowly but surely getting there

Really like the look of the boosterless master, is there any benefits other then looks? Also how does it work?

Rear end is fine, I just had the wheels sitting next to the car. So I could see what it looked like, here’s a better photo of the rear end

Yea that’s what I’m planning on vrsenator065, got the idea of using my manual knob still and trying to keep the factory look like you did with your senator. Just need to find a auto marble surround to replace my manual one, not liking my chances after seeing how hard the manual ones seem to be to find.

Cheers doz10 getting there slowly, from what I understand the T5 speed sensor should bolt into the th400 one. And reverse lights should be able to setup threw shifter depending on what one your using, don’t hold me to that just what I’ve read. Haven’t looked into it to much yet, as I’ve only made the decision this week to go auto. Still have to work out what stall I’m going to go, but won’t have to worry about kick down as I’m going manualised.

Not a whole lot of progress lately but starting to come together. Changed my mind on a couple of things, sold my come manifold and bought a harrop hi rise. Bought a set of tri spokes that I’ve been looking for for awhile now, changed the door cards to a set of leather ones. And the biggest decision I’ve changed my mind on is ditching the T5 for an auto. Wanted to keep it a manual, but after driving my mates blown vk with a manualised  auto at red centre nats I’ve changed my mind.  Got a th400 for it yesterday for a good price so the conversion will be underway shortly

Got the coolant cross over done on my manifold. Just need to drill and tap a thread for the air temp sensor then I can fit manifold and fit motor into car. Anyone know what size thread I need to tap for the sensor?

<p style=”text-align: left;”>No worries thanks for that, what’s involved in the valley breather and crossover? Fairly simple to do?</p>

Hoping to bolt the manifold up on the weekend, just after some advise on where to put sensors and line for brake booster. Any ideal runner that I need to use and is it as simple as just tapping a thread? Any advise/photos would be great

So need to workout what gap will be ok between the valley and manifold. It’s roughly 7mm gap at the moment( I’ll measure it probably tomorrow). Thinking between 2-3mm gap will be fine? Or is that still to much?
