I think the biggest problem was that people didn’t realise you were just giving a mate a rub instead of insulting some stranger online.

Unfortunately certain member seem to take umbrage with others comments, the stupid thing is we normally ignore most of those notification/complaints.  I guess it’s the society we live in unfortunately.

I’m not going to debate what happened on JC, I think a ban was a bit heavy handed and I believe in the recent past when there have been complaints it was dealt with amicably between us.  You have to admit though you have a propensity of stringing together select words which seem to irritate some users and you know we live in a very PC society.

You my friend are one misunderstood mofo…..

    Weight distribution?

One of my work mates has  son who drives in the 1/4 midgets in speedway.  He’s spent about 2 years rebuilding the car and recently picked up a sponsor as the boys gets faster and more recognised as his driving abilities continue to grow.  Last month they bought a set of vehicle scales and the father of a very well know NZ supercar driver who is also very good behind the wheel of a rally car taught him how to set the car suspension up using the scales and how to adjust for track conditions which seems to have helped improve the boys lap times even further.  Before the scales he was just adjusting the suspension using blocks as measuring tools.

Well then rip off those strips and you can add a couple of chocolate bars to the driver :-)

Looks like an absolute animal on the track mate! Have you thought about removing the side mouldings to give it a cleaner look?

That it is LMAO this car is such a turd I don’t think removing the molds will help!

Will help just a little with the weight savings.

Don’t think they’re that heavy are they? (never had em off)

Probably not but every little bit adds up.

Looks much better, looks like you’re really getting into it now and controlling the slides through the corners.  You know you’ve got it right when you can steer the car with the right foot

Ideally 58x is better as the ignition timing would be more accurate due to the better resolution of the 58x chopper wheel.

If there is any noticeable difference from a drivers perspective I really couldn’t say.

As to your specific question, probably best to talk to a tuner and see what the story is and whether they have the option of changing those sorts of items with the likes of HP tuners and EFIlive etc.

Easiest way VN-VS would be to get a speedo corrector kit.  VT onward you can get the app to modify the dash data to correct the speedometer.

Obviously if you have an LS style PCM and access to HP tuners or the like than it can be done via the PCM.

Yeah, I’d try your way first and if that doesn’t work than I’d try my way.

    Depends on the PCM.

You could also jack the exhaust up and put it under load and then run the engine and see if the heat will relax the steel a little.

Or download a GPS app on your phone, go for a drive and then adjust.

You need to know this in relation to?

I’d suggest contacting either the sanctioning body or the regional government authority who’s regs you are building too.

Isn’t there a snap ring that holds that whole assembly in the casing?  I’d imagine those bolts are only to hold that sub assembly together.

For counter sunk bolts I find a ratchet and hex adaptor works much better than just an allan key as you can control the force load/direction much better and 99% less chance of rounding out the sucker :-)

A Senator starts out heavier than an SS.

I would suggest the Senator was a chubby 1600kg+ before any mods were undertaken.
