Yep, it’s gonna be $30K more than the Mustang most likely. Luxury car price for entry level spec.

Very nicely done. I bet there were a few hours work in that.
What are you doing to adapt the 350 output shaft to transfer case input shaft?

Depending on what PCM you run you might not need the 2nd set of O2 sensors behind the cats.
It is possible that the tuner will also be able to turn em off (again depending on the PCM) as I believe high flow cats can stuff up the readings and trigger a engine check light in the later model cars with the 2nd set of O2 sensors fitted and non…[Read more]

Yes, later model run the 2 sets of O2 sensors to monitor catalytic converter performance.
Be interesting to see that comparison. I guess if you’re letting the vehicle cool down between runs it wouldn’t be much of an issue.

Yeah the ice tank in the boot is the best option
Most of the yanks are fitting a tank in the engine bay, it increases coolant volume but is still subject to engine bay heat.

Are you planning on adding a coolant expansion tank for the cooler IC system like the guys in the US are doing to increase the total coolant volume?

I think the biggest problem was that people didn’t realise you were just giving a mate a rub instead of insulting some stranger online.
Unfortunately certain member seem to take umbrage with others comments, the stupid thing is we normally ignore most of those notification/complaints. I guess it’s the society we live in unfortunately.

I’m not going to debate what happened on JC, I think a ban was a bit heavy handed and I believe in the recent past when there have been complaints it was dealt with amicably between us. You have to admit though you have a propensity of stringing together select words which seem to irritate some users and you know we live in a very PC…[Read more]

Weight distribution?
One of my work mates has son who drives in the 1/4 midgets in speedway. He’s spent about 2 years rebuilding the car and recently picked up a sponsor as the boys gets faster and more recognised as his driving abilities continue to grow. Last month they bought a set of vehicle scales and the father of a very well know NZ su…[Read more]

Looks much better, looks like you’re really getting into it now and controlling the slides through the corners. You know you’ve got it right when you can steer the car with the right foot

Immortality replied to the topic question about 24x and 58x in the forum Engine 7 years ago
Ideally 58x is better as the ignition timing would be more accurate due to the better resolution of the 58x chopper wheel.
If there is any noticeable difference from a drivers perspective I really couldn’t say.
As to your specific question, probably best to talk to a tuner and see what the story is and whether they have the option of changing…[Read more]
