The Springs/shocks and wheels should be doing the work of absorbing the humps and bumps of the road. The mounting bushes are to isolate the suspension from the chassis to minimise NVH.
I think you are referring to that thread on the PCM hacking forum, if that is the case his argument about a car breaking welds is a dirt track car that gets…[Read more]

Was supposed to make the engine quieter/smoother etc.
The original LS engines in Commodores sounded pathetic. Stock they still are nothing exciting at all really. Not much point in owning a V8 if you can’t even hear it :(
My local exhaust guy had a huge stack of factory VT exhaust systems stacked up in the corner as every man (and his dog) wa…[Read more]

Not really. Obviously there are limitations with the way the crank is made (and the various permutations of the big end throws) but change the cam lobes and the firing order on the dizzy. To make a drastic change than the crank needs to be changed.
For example
In the above diagram you can see with the standard LS firing order the next c…[Read more]

Nice TP manifold on top.
What are they intending on putting it in?

Immortality replied to the topic Power wires in VS V6 for new gauges ? in the forum Car Audio & Electrics 7 years, 6 months ago
Ahh. Yes you would have to use the appropriate sender from Autometer. As far as I’m aware all the gauges are internally the same, the only thing that changes is what is written on the gauge face. Then Autometer have a sender to work with it.

Something really weird going on there. What does the oil pressure gauge do if you disconnect sensor wire and power it up?
Try connecting the oil pressure sensor to the fuel pressure gauge and see if that moves then.
Are these Autometer gauges?

It could well be, the non return LS stuff I believe runs at about 60psi /4 bar.

What fuel pressure are you running those injectors at and is the FPR manifold referenced?
I’d be weary of cheap injectors on ebay, there are so many cheap chinese copies these days :(

I would expect ID flow rates would be accurate as that is what they are known for. Best bet would be to contact them and see what they say.

^^^ Agreed. a decent twin plate clutch would do the job.

You must be looking to fit some big ass rims, doing tubs?
If you are going to all this trouble why not fit something like the tubular 4 link coil over setup from McDonald Bro’s ?

I doubt it. As said elsewhere, the 400 was used in all the heavy stuff and should be tough as nails. Standard sedan type vehicles got the 350 which is fairly good too but not enough for your blown donk.
Talk to HQ368 on the AV8 forum. He knows his transmissions.
