Ok thanks ill give them a miss plan to stay factory computer and I seen your having issues with your tune Id have a chat to Baz or Decorate from the old forum he is a wiz on the factory computer hes done many tunes for people and fixed many issues he is down brissy way though but I know he will travel if the money is right been where you are is the hard part of it all I guess having a tuner from VIC wouldn’t be much help either if you don’t know baz I can get you in contact with him he has the runs on the board to look after you
April 18, 2015 at 4:22 am #4989I don’t see the issues with solid cradle mounts really I to run the apparent race style ones as well and noticed no difference in harshness that been said I cant see why you cant angle the front part of there boxed section and alow a little more clearance but id need to dummy it all up and check the clearance 100% under there and if its hitting on the whole box section or just a part of it
April 17, 2015 at 7:48 am #4933wow looking at there site and some of the stuff they do they have some great ideas and put some thought into a lot of things others haven’t if you combined a few of them you would have a better setup far from perfect but defiantly better and the prices on some of there stuff isn’t that bad really.
these would be great im seriously considering a set

March 30, 2015 at 7:06 pm #3628I agree 100% that the LS platform makes cheaper and easier power, the thing they have over the holden V8 is they already have more cubes heads that flow more because there so much bigger and a decent manifold at the end of the day its a push rod V8 there the same tech just refined in strength, oil feed, more head bolts for better sealing with boost and a few other areas. Not really new tech just refined.
If money is no object you could make almost anything you like power wise out of each but on a budget the LS cant be beat.
The LS has many things stock that you need to pay extra for in the 5 litre if you want to get it to the same level.
Cubes, alloy heads(also flow more), decent flowing manifold, 6 bolt mains (aussie motor can only get 4), More head bolts(the aussie motor will only take bigger studs not more bolts) and improved oil feed.
After you paid for all that your still only as square 1 with a LS then there are the mods on top of that.
But once done a 5 litre stroked with cam, heads and a manifold with do 350rwhp pretty easy and that’s about where a Ls1 is with just a cam.
Boost really is the best thing you can do for your Aussie motor to get it into the present day
