dude got same prob,to get that open you have to remove door trim from inside, which will be a pain with seat in(3 long screws on bottom)it won’t come right off because theres also a screw where it meets dash, but get it off enough to remove door handle, then from outside theres a black plastic securtiy cover blocking the bit you need to get a to open door.what id say has happened theres a tiny plactic clip on locking mech that moves striker 1/8th inch off the bit that operates the opening bit, that bit i think is grey (in my car anyway)may not be on bottom of door, mine was hanging foul on something,i’ll take some photos when i get home, someone may know correct terms for them “bits”

now i have a ? i had this same problem, got door open, put new mech in after discovering prob, now when i put trim on then put orange bit on lock(last bit)bloody thing locks & won’t unlock,WHY,works fine the trim off ,powered up to check fine, put trim on ,no work, ahh.

trims cleaned, seats cleaned, massaged with leather gear(hhmm nice, haha)& installed, windows retinted, front & rear glass installed(new front)just waiting on trimmer with new h/brake boot,he also cut a little out of the trim bit around gear lever, fits real nice, with manuell conversion auto trim don’t fit,not a bad few days over Easter.waiting on slip rings for front rotors now, backed of the Koni’s a bit to, hopeful ride a bit nicer too.Reckon i’ve spent at least 4 hrs over a bucket of warm soapy water to this point, can’t wait to put brakes on ,don’t have to clean them, hahaha

going back a bit,its apples & oranges 5L iron vs 5.7L (basic)alloy, correct me if I’m wrong alloy heads are less susceptible to detonation, also with new rego laws(if looking to be legit, not saying I’m an angel either)lsx is popular because it didn’t come in an aussie delivered car, making emissions to the car not year of motor build.

also seen a 460 big paw at G force the other day, bloody inlet on heads is huge (like roll a golf ball down there, haha)valve the size of a tennis ball, said he’d done 1 with a small cam (don’t ask don’t know)that went 651rwhp,carb, max power at 7200,9k them blocks(alloy),went straight out en bought more lotto tickets, haha, look unreal!

i’d be at least keeping the block in the shed,if its an original numbered car.

y/t 2.3 whipple sounds good,if you can fit it you’ll stay under 15k with exhaust upgrade, kits 10 with cooler i think.

your right, glad you didn’t baffle me with tech speak, haha

    more power,more grip,less weight,ohh & less fuel pls

not much to ask is it,haha

what id like to see is bigger tracks,(wider & longer, more run off)no rules on motor or aero,f1 drivers with fighter pilot suits to keep em awake,id go to that.

no drug testing either, wanna see bolt run a 6!!

it is so much more, was just trying to say ls is not be all & end all. to be honest i was shocked they went push rod again,I don’t build my motors(have got 5L in boat i did,its real basic)so not real tech,do remember someone telling me RPM =MPH & winners are grinners.

also us aussie holden blokes get rapped on price of bits, part of being a small market i suppose .but who’d drive a ford or put a chev in an aussie classic.

thats a joke people chilaxe…I’ll drive anything with grunt!! or ride ,so no harleys even the german ones, haha

i’ll throw fuel at this fire,

holden strokers make more torque,ha i said it

i’ve also dusted at least 3 local LS’s,all proably just exhaust cars, not sure hard to tell looking at them in rearview mirror, haha

also mates just put cam, otr, already had exhaust in his vt s2 ls,255 and its still 25rwhp short of mine, plus its a bit heavier ,can’t wait to kick his arse.

i’m not saying ls is no good, far from it.

i’m on t/p list for new block(wish he’d bloody ring with it ready)its reasonably priced if think about the price of machining 4bolt,oil mods & the rest.Just need a big win to make that 427 small block holden that’ll spin to 9k happen, haha ,also not legal for true street, apsa.oh well Wednesday & fridays for cash of me mates, haha not sure if I’m supposed to share this but, check this bad boy.

gmh304,yeah sweet, got it just over a year ago,it is a nice car i struggled in wether to pull it apart, really grew on me quick.Mark i think his name was put some dollars in it,genuine bloke told me the story of the car, when i spoke with Glen at G Force for the freshen up basically confirmed what seller had said.car had got around but well looked after.May be next year i’ll do something with it.Tubs, short diff, 4 link ATS twin turbo kit on ls2 with auto for frying tyres haha
